Yes... Steve Perry gave JSS his phone number & email once , and he lost it somewhere down the line.

Yes ..... JSS tells the story himself - I will just hit the highlights since I will probably screw it up.

Several years ago JSS was backstage somewhere and saw Steve Perry. JSS walked up and introduced himself - told Perry that he was a fan and that Perry was a major influence and that he had a new cd out - then asked if he could send it to Perry - to hear what he had to say. Perry said sure and as was posted before gave JSS his phone number and email and Jeff screwed around working on a project and lost them.

Fast forward JSS runs into Perry somewhere else and Perry says [paraphrasing here] "You never sent me the cd of yours so I bought a copy" then began to critique it. JSS was floored .....

At least that is how it is stuck in my brain - Jeff tells the story much better.
