I have been over at Guitars101 today, and I have read a post about me posting thread links to Journey boots here. As of right now, I am stopping that practice.


To the Members of Guitars101 who have shared their Journey boots,

I am sending my apologies to the posters that are angered by my recent posting of boot threads here.

It was not my intention to claim any of these boots as my own. I have never stated they were. I would always state in my titles of my threads "Over at Guitars101" or "Journey boot over at Guitars101. I only provided full thread links to the Journey boots for the fans here, since most of them do not frequent the site like I do. And they are thanking me only for providing the thread. Someone has stated that I do this to gain acceptance at MR. That isn't the case here. I have been an active member of MR, and accepted as such, since December of last year.

I do accept that I failed to properly thank the original poster of the boot in my threads. I apologize for that.

I didn't mean to anger anyone over at Guitars101 for posting complete boot thread links. My whole intention was to bring more Journey fans to Guitars101. In other words, more publicity for the site, and maybe more members, who may have boots as well.

Again, I send my sincerest apologies to all members that I have unintentionally angered.

Whoever is upset needs to get a life. I check the site occasionally as well but please PM me, if you remember, when you find anything interesting in the future.

Hey, you posting links got me to Guitars101 for the first time, and I'd never have been there otherwise. You're getting pageloads and hits for their site.

Nice of you to post this. I know you always cite the source, though not the original poster of said DLs. But anyone who clicks a link here will see who posted it there.

That means no posting of links to other sites that have articles relating to Journey, either, right? That doesn't make sense to me. If someone's going to post and reference something on another web site, why not include the link so anyone else interested doesn't waste their time searching for it on their own? Does this include the links that people have been posting like mad to the videos on youtube?

Very classy response Sall. You never claimed the boots as your own, you were just being thoughtful by posting the links for the rest of us. If anything you got people checking out that site who never even would have known it existed.

No, no no....to clarify for those that are a little behind here - if you see live bootleg links on other pages such as Guitars101, then point to that page - not the file itself.
Common sense.

As for posting other links here - do whatever you like - that's what the board is for....talk about/spread around and promote.

Well, it's fine by me...but mabe not by the 101 users....I can't speak for them.

Hey Clasic....just give the link to guitars101....I don't think they'd have any problem with that. And in the message, mention the boot's name and "Thanks to_______ " Might ease some scrutiny.

Well gee, I hope they forgive you...however, isn't it illegal to video-tape any Journey concert without the express, written permission of Journey and/or its management?

So they're PO'd at you because you didn't give them credit, but they illegally recorded parts or all of a concert WITHOUT asking the band if it was okay?! Huh, I'm wondering what's wrong with that picture...

I never took any of your posts/links to be to gain any attention for yourself, and I doubt anyone else from this site did either.

I had never even heard of guitars101 until you and a few others from this site started posting links from it for us.

I have even told a couple of friends of mine about guitars101 in the last week.

Whoever was upset about you "trying to take credit for yourself" was way off base!

And once again I thank you for helping myself and others on here by posting links!

Surprised I havent had a bollocking yet, as I have posted up links often too


but they are only ever to the page, not the file itself...
