Went and saw Miles Schon's band (Diamond Rust) last night in SF at Broadway Studios. WOW! What an amazing young talent. It was the first gig for his band and they were simply awesome. A very proud Daddy Neal was there watching his son as were many other member's of the Schon family. They write their own material - classic guitar-oriented, r&b rock. This kid is going places!

That's awesome! Miles made an appearance at the Concord show last year and played along side his dad. It was awesome. You can just see Neal beaming with pride. I would be too!

No, he is undoubtedly on the toilet with runny shits. Grandpa is lactose intolerant.

You and me both. Last time I saw him he was just a little guy trying to play his dad's guitar. Now he's 18 with his own band. Where did the time go?

In the long run, it sounds like he is going for his fathers dream. Even the name seems to have significance . May all his dreams come true.

Doubt it, according to the post at BT, that show was their first gig EVER. They haven't been around long.

Not yet -- it was literally their first gig on four days of rehearsal. They were incredible though -- really talented kids. Personally was kind of nervous when we asked Miles to bring his band to play for JPP this year -- we knew HE could play, had no clue about how well his band would play, much less WHAT they'd play! I figured worst case would be a garage band doing a few covers. What we got was about 45 minutes of original material that was truly outstanding.

P.S. -- Was nice seeing you Lora -- thanks for the stuff! :)
