They aren't coming back to my state according to the latest itinerary. They were up at Montage, I think, right before JSS came on board, so I'm not gonna get to see him this time around unless they add a Philly date or something else close enough to drive to. :(

My daughter, who is 14, and her friend who is 15 thought Jeff was hot and really liked him -- thought he was really good. He made the show exciting.

I was an Augeri fan big time, but after seeing JSS w/Journey, I want him to stay. I can't believe I'm saying that!

The crowd was worshipping Journey tonight. DL was good, but it seemed like they rely a lot on a big stage presentation and LOUDNESS. Elliott didn't interact with the crowd or move aroudn much, and he is much too chunky to be wearing leather pants! They sounded good though. I just know Journey is a better band and should NOT be opening for Def Leppard (or anyone else for that matter).

No... I quit bringing my camera to shows because I get so caught up in trying to take good pictures, that I'm not enjoying or seeing the show. :(

Thanks Barb. Did JSS sing everything or did Deen do some songs tonite? How did JSS sound on the high notes? Oh & was he wearing torn jeans

I'm glad u enjoyed the show. He really has awesome energy onstage. He connects w/the audience well & puts his heart in it too.

I went to Concord yesterday. I have talked to JSS... he sounded much, much better than he did in Chula Vista. I was also glad to hear Deen again... don't let that talent go to waste, guys.

One thing I noticed at this show (I didn't stay for DL at Chula Vista because my friend wanted to leave) was that this is definitely Def Leppard's tour. The stage setup and production compared between both bands is amazingly different... Leppard gets a lot more fanfare. The crowd also seems to mostly be there for Leppard, and although they do know the Journey hits, I noticed plenty of people sitting down during lesser-knowns like Dead Or Alive and Edge Of The Blade.

I still think the band is full of assholes and I don't plan on spending much money on them in the future, but I can't fault JSS for following his dreams so I'm cool with him. I'm not about to start kissing his ass here, though.

LAST THING: Journey's got to stop letting Jon have 2 piano solos. The Leppard crowd does not do well with them. If they're trying to win DL fans, letting Jon have solos is not the way to do it.

There's my 2 cents.

I'm glad JSS sounded so much better. I was hoping w/some rest & practice that would happen. Then I think he'll get this catalogue down if we just give him some time. He did step in during the tour. He needs to adjust. Thanks for sharing that.

About the piano solos...TY for saying that. They are so completely lame. It's a rock concert for crying out loud. JC is up there looking all constipated & doing a piano concerto. WTF. Whose idea was that crap?

If I am going to Atlantic City and Boston, then surely she can.

Deen sang Open Arms, Faithfully and Who's Cryin' Now. Jeff's jeans weren't torn, but still had the chain -- as did Neal by the way. He changed his shirt 3 times. When they came out for the encore, he was wearing the Journey Escape shirt -- inspired me to buy one too.

Jeff did amazingly well on the high notes. He hits the notes in DSB way better than Augeri. He still struggled a bit towards the end, but it wasn't as noticeable or as painful as when SA did it. He is a lot of fun to watch and all of us liked him. After the first couple of songs, I said to my daughter "wow! he doesn't suck!" By half way through the show, I was screaming I LIKE HIM HE's AWESOME! It was funny.

Yep, and another one before Faithfully I think. The crowd was on their feet the entire time Journey was on and throughout Def Leppard. It was so fun!

I was surprised myself. The woman next to me was a Leppard diehard (and annoying as hell)... she asked after DOA if Journey was almost done because they were "too quiet"!

Yeah, I'd be interested in hearing personal reviews of the Sleeptrain show. We're not going. I'll go to another Journey concert when they start playing some serious new music. :)

I just wish they would play some Arrival and at the very least Faith in the Heartland=their very best song! I wonder if they can't because of contract stuff with Augeri? that's probably not the reason, but wish they would play some newer stuff too! If JSS can't sing Faith in the Heartland yet, please let Deen do it!!!!!
