"Yeah I love my lady....shes long and lean
You mess with her....youll see a man get mean"

lol great song

but I would have thought "Little Wing" was YOUR fave:

"Well shes walking through the clouds
With a circus mind thats running wild
Butterflies and zebras
And moonbeams and a fairy tale
Thats all she ever thinks about
Riding the wind...."

Stevie Ray Vaughan was amazing. The best blues guitar player ever, in my opinion. He also had a great voice for singing the blues. He had the voice of a big, heavy black man in a short, skinny white body.

The sky is crying,
Look at the tears rolling down the streets.
The sky is crying,
Look at the tears rolling down the streets.
I looked out my window,
The rain was falling down in sheets.

I love his version of "Little Wing".

The only thing sadder then that day and the lives lost is the thought of what it would have been like if Eric Clapton would have been on that helicopter too as he was supposed to be. It took three of his band members lives as well.

I raise my glass to you, Stevie.... \~/

The day after he died, a bunch of us were hanging out somewhere....one of the guys bought his latest album on cassette, and wanted to play it...we all watched him unwrap it and put it in the player...we were listening to it and STILL COULD NOT BELIEVE that he was gone..we were talking about life and death, and somebody said, "Stevie, if you can hear us right now, give us a sign".

....and then the SOUND CUT OFF, CAME BACK ON, CUT OFF, AND THEN CONTINUED

We freaked out and hit "rewind and play" a few times to see if maybe it was "defective"

....never happened again.
