Thoughts please............

My thought is that it was the last line-up and when this tour is done they are done, new projects and new names....

Gee, let me think...
Yeah, he obviously loves JSS and wants to give it a go with him as the singer. This version of Journey will satisfy Neal's need to rock. No more side projects, except for the softer solo stuff.

I think NS meant it when he said it like a lotta other stuff he says.... but if Augeri does't come back (and I don't think he will), there's no way they don't continue on w/ JSS. It's an involuntary change, brought about by circumstances, so in that sense Neal would still be sorta true to his word. The boots and feedback are going a long way towards illustrating that this lineup works.

From what I saw backstage when I had my pics taken, it seemed that Neal was more happier with JSS. And the show... damn. You know how I felt about that. I am hoping that Journey will continue with JSS, but there is also all the projects JSS has, plus the tour he put on hold with Talisman....

Who knew Augeri will be out this way?
Maybe Neal should've thought about that saying "never say never".
I also believe Neal is feeling ok with JSS fronting the band,so I don't see any reason why they shouldn't continue working together, even after this tour will be over.

I think the band will move foward with JSS, Neal has the harder Journey he has wanted and I think we the fans are eating this up !!!. Its good too hear the boys Rock and not also go to the ballads.
Neal mind has been changed

Well, you need a few ballads in there, just for a change of pace.
And I know I am eating this lineup with JSS in Journey !

Neal absolutely seems like a happy camper. He was
very playful in Vegas

I am having a gut feeling that JSS will be the one to take Augeri's place. Neal can change his mind, and from what I saw in Marysville, I don't believe Journey wants that feeling to end.

Hey! Whatever happens, happens! Wherever Neal goes, I'm there! Hopefully Neal, Jeff, Virgil & Marco will continue on with Soul SirkUS if indeed Journey is done after this tour.
I can see it already!
Soul SirkUS - Ready 2 Rock Your World Tour!
If it happens.. I'm there! For sure!

Dude, don't try and start another misnomer, this being the one that Augeri didn't rock out. Plenty of heavier than hell songs with SA at the mic....

Why the hell does every FUCKIN thread have to turn into an Augeri bashing session, do you beat your dick as much as you beat this topic into the fucking ground!!1 For christ sakes it over. Can we over anything else too the board except bashing. Lets move on. I made the comments on hearing the boys rock and not going too the ballads and what I meant by that was the set was far more heavy than Journay has been in the past. Journey will always play some ballads and that expected and they should , Fauthfully, Open Arms, Who's Cryin Know...I think we all on this board can think of a time in our life when we were gettin laided to these songs

. I just like the sound, the energy and the direction of the band right know with JSS at the helm.

zino, wtf is YOUR problem? He brought up blood bubbling from his ears, and I can't correlate anything rocking with Augeri...I imagine Butterflies and Red Leather pants...Hardly a masculine guy.

I'm ready for the band too make an offical announcement on this deal and lets all move foward. Journey and JSS will rock on !!! And with any luck we can get some solo Perry stuff !

Yeah, it's like saying Perry never rocked because all you think of is Open Arms, Send Her My Love, Faithfully, etc...

Dear Jeff Scott Soto,
Apparently some people do not like band members wearing leather pants. Could you please make sure that you and the members of Journey no longer wear leather pants of
any color on stage.
Sincerely yours and peace always,
Liz

Though I can't locate the quote, I distinctly recall an interview last year where Neal was asked about Perry's absence and he replied with something to the effect of "The band has always had lineup changes. Who knows, we may not be done yet!"
It struck me as peculiar at the time.
I thought he meant Cain.

I always felt in the minority that Augeri had a much better rock voice than a ballad voice. His ballad voice always sounded very puss-like, kind of a poor man's Rod Stewart...His rock voice sounded more distinctive to me, though it is funny the parallels between now and 1998, when I am sure on several occassions Neal said "We can finally ROCK again!" or something like that.

Agreed, J
Only Augie-era ballad I really got into his balladeering on is Knowing That You Love Me.
