Ok, it's an hour into the show and the only good things so for me are Jack Black & Kelly Clarkson win. Too much T & A and not enough talent. MHO

Can't the songs stand on their own?

I say "what songs"? There isn't really a decent song out there today. I don't watch the MTV's VMA's because what passes as music today makes me too depressed. And T&A sells..........

Will ever only watch again IF the Journey reunion is broadcasted.

Exactly.
Hip-hop is the new old trend they try to sell us every day. M should stand for Music, but there is very little music left on that channel. But it's several years I'm not watching it anymore, and things could have even changed for worse today.
The radio situation is not much different here in Italy. 4 major stations broadcast the same 7 songs in rotation all day. I wonder how many majors are behind this move.

Caught a few minutes of preshow just to keep hip and all...Jesus Christ, everyone got onto Steve Augeri for being bad....The preshow performances were like drunk fraternity kids wailing away on some street corner!! Who in the fuck was that black chick singing that Melissa Ethridge rip off about "Manhattan Cowboy?" Sarah something? Jesus, better music has come out of my dog's asshole.

Y'know, here's another thing I don't understand...this time, about VH1:

It seems that the only time I can see halfway decent videos on THEIR channel is right now: 10:50AM ET.

In the morning. When most people are in SCHOOL OR AT WORK. I happen to be unemployed right now.

MAN did I get spoiled by Digital Cable a few years ago! 7 CHANNELS of different TYPES of videos.

I don't think they had a CLUE 25 years ago....prob'ly figured this whole video thing would go over like a lead balloon....
