Journey Predictions III

PostPosted: Sat Sep 02, 2006 1:13 am

Once (or if) this Def Leppard tour finally ends, I believe the next major tour will again feature a supporting act or acts.
Much in how the Arrival tour featured Frampton/Wait and Foreigner, the next tour with feature co-headliners to help ensure maximum seated capacity is reached and to further cement JSS's status as new vocalist to the great unwashed masses.
Only then, will Journey embark on a major national solo tour with Jeff at the helm.
So it is written, so it shall be done.

For those that dare question my uncanny clarivoyant powers, let me remind you that I predicted JSS's inclusion into this band well over a year ago.

Didn't you hear?
Ashley wasn't caught flat-footed, lip-synching like the vapid oozing meat hole that she is.
Rather, it was her "band playing the wrong song".
She square danced her talentless ass straight off the stage and left her bandmates holding the bag.
Shameless $2 hooker.

Who the fuck is that?
That's not Ashley, that's the smoking hot Kraut who married that ghastly tribal-looking crooner, Seal.

That is such a Nicole Richie/Calista Flockheart forced, "Look, I'm eating junkfood!" phot-op pic.

That burger got whisked out of that beautiful pie hole UNBITTEN the instant the last soundwave of the click on the camera reached her ears.

October 2005 - July 2006 = roughly 9 months....not well over a year ago.

Interesting that Andrew posted a blank comment to you, seems like a silent warning that maybe he gave you some kind of heads up to this information and he wanted you to back off.....wow that adds fuel to the conspiracy fire............maybe it was an inside job to spill tapegate and oust Augeri..............but those are just my thoughts on how this one has been playing out. Oh how I wish they still made BTM.....would love the take on this line up change.

Knowing that they taped portions of their concets, How can ANYONE go and see them anymore??????

Hell, if Steve A. couldnt sing it, you cancel it until he can, or you go out and get someone else PERIOD, IMMEDIATELY!!!

How in the hell can you con your fans???????????????????????????????

Because it doesn't matter. Most people have way more important things to worry about.

Andrew is Australian, not retarded.
I like it though.
Perhaps you should pursue a career as a mystery writer?

Oh how I wish they still made BTM

I think a second installment of many BTMs is well overdue. If I recall, the 1st Journey BTM got strong ratings. But without Perry, VH1 won't budge.

I just wish JSS would contribute to THIS kind of thread rather than the "safer" ones discussing his vocals!! I know, it ain't gonna happen (but would love to be proved wrong!!). It does all sound a bit like a conspiracy doesn't it but on the other hand if Jeff had been in on it would he have recorded the new Talisman album and committed himself to tour with them - a tour he then had to cancel. Even though I'm sure his Talisman bandmates are happy for him they must be gutted about missing out on the tour. I can't see him doing that to them if he'd secretly known all along he would be joining Journey. So if there was a conspiracy my guess is that Jeff wasn't part of it - maybe Neal just took it for granted that Jeff would jump at the chance to join Journey so there was no need to involve him.

Nice thought/prediction oh Noble one.

Tapegate did not fade away because it was not denied by the players, imo. No conspiracy. A few fans figured it out and it was exposed. Now we have a (seemingly) very happy band with a dynamic talent out front doing it right!! Let the Journey continue :D

Who knows.
He can be one fruity fucker.

In all honesty, Drew is connected and knows the music beat.
I am sure he wasn't the only person who heard the rumblings of Augeri's increasing vocal challenges.

I imagine when they finally get around to announcing Jeff as the new singer a large percentage of people on BT have a heart attack. For the band this is a difficult time with Jeff i predict a very diffrent sounding Journey which may alienate many fans, but may find new ones.Augeri live especially looked and sounded a little like Perry so old time fans that come for the hits were happy. Jeff is anything but a Perry clone so it may be strange for all the regulars to accept this especially if the new music has a harder edge.
What i do hope for is a great new cd with Dean singing as well and a European tour thats live!!!

two things stick out here, first heart attack is a poor choice of words...

Also, I don't see an announcement being made At least not anytime soon.

The fans may like hearing the old songs, but many people don't care who the lead singer is as long as they hear what they want to hear.

Okay, I get you, so you think he knew something and he couldn't resist letting you know he knew something but he couldn't say what it was without jeopardizing his position in the inner circle.

As anyone with connections in the industy, I am sure Andrew got word of the fact that Augeri was having a rough time.
Andrew made a point of asking Steve about it when he last interviewed him.
I don't think there's anymore to it though.

Ask him.
He is an all around friendly bloke, (for being a Wombat Fucker).

Not a writer, but a reader of all mysteries and this one is so very intriguing. But hey, if I change the names....could be a cult hit.

I think Journey's BTM was one of the best. Never know, maybe the powers that be here can push for a second installment. Andrew?!?!??!

and for the record I do not think JSS is part of the conspiracy. Just a pawn in the big game. Much as Augeri was the first time around.

I did enjoy the two shows I saw with JSS if anyone cares.

It sure as hell does matter. People are spending hard earned money to see a 'LIVE' show.

There were numerous other ways that they could of handled the situation. At the very least they could of told their fans prior to the show that in parts of the show tapes are having to be used as a result of a voice injury to their lead singer. Apologize for it and go on. But tell the damn truth. Dont con your fans.

I remember Tommy Shaw posting on the Styx website prior to one of their Superbowl performances that 'all the acts' have to have portions of their music on tape for some reason. He went on to say that it was the first time that Styx had EVER done this.

Maybe you are correct in that it does'nt matter.

So are Barry's Homerun totals legit????? How about his single season home run record????????

How about Sammy corking that bat???? Doesnt matter either!!

Neal, Ross & Jonathan ought to be the ones who introduce Mark McGwire when he gets into the Baseball Hall Of Fame!!

Barry could introduce Neal, Jonathan & Ross if they ever get into The R&R Hall Of Fame!!!!!

None of it matters does it??????????????

Not to my life. I couldn't give a crap about any of that. As long as my family and I are healthy and happy, I'm good. All this other stuff is just entertainment, not worth getting in a huff about.

The tapes were for the singer. That singer is now gone. If Jeff starts using fakery the fans will be sure to kick his ass to the curb, too.

If Augeri was forbidden from taking the proper time off to rest, or was in any way forced to lip against his will, then he should've spoken out directly to his fans.
They would've had his back & raised almighty hell!
This is what happens when u choose loyalty to a band, over the people that put food on ur table (i.e. the fans).
But then again, Augeri has always said he loves being in a rock band.
The question is, to what degree?
Did he love it so much that he was willing to throw everything else away (reputation, dignity, etc).
I'm afraid, until we confirmatively hear otherwise, that all signs seem to point to yes.
