TRASH DAY

Today brought the first hole in my Journey collection.
Starting with my favorite Journey album(CD) Infinity, I have owned everything that Journey has put out. The Time 3 box set is amazing. Dream After Dream is ok when I am in the mood but not their best work. I own it all. Its my last vice.
I also own all of Steve Perrys solo material, Red 13, a Tall Stories CD, and two excellent Journey bootleg CD's. I have 6 different Journey DVD's/VHS tapes( 2 are bootleg shows).
Anyway, I was proud of my Journey collection until recently.
This morning before I went to work when it got light enough I cleaned up our backyard ( 3 dogs). I then put the dog deposit bag in the trash can. Rolled the trash can down to the street. Went back in the house told my family goodbye and to have a nice day.
My last act before I went to work was I went into our CD/Video closet that is located in our living room. I grabbed my Generations CD,opened it up to make sure that it was the Generations in the CD case, went out to the street a put it on top of my dog deposit bag.
I waited unit now to type this . Trash pick up is usually between 10:30 & 11:00 am.
Thanks Neal!!! You are one hell of a leader!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I am NOT going to post any more on this topic. Its back to the Styx board. I'm sure many of you will be glad that I am gone. I wish you all the best!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Just him being him.
He insists, dammit, that everyone buy every allegation of tapegate and be outraged and protest/boycott.

If this is your way to express your displeasure I'd hate to become unfavorable in your eyes. I'd never destroy music I have paid good money for...don't go to the concerts and don't buy any more of the music. seems simple enough for me.

Yogi, you have some MAJOR issues!!! Who gives a rat's ass who's making money! They HAVE to make money to be able to keep touring and recording albums! Would you rather have No Journey at all??? Big deal, maybe Augeri lipped, maybe he didn't. Maybe he is done, maybe he will be back (I personally hope not)... Big freaking deal. Its done.
Go back home and enjoy your Styx catalogue and I hope you have a wonderful time over at the Styx board talking about and hyping the new Symphony DVD... WOW, how original. And Journey gets slammed for re-hashing and making a living off thier past. Give me a break!

I'm not hiding. I just figure if I cant say anything nice anymore.........
I just cant believe that so many of you dont care that JOURNEY taped portions of their concerts. We are not talking a Simpson girl, we are talking JOURNEY.
Again, since I no longer can say anything nice.....

You can say anything, nasty or nice, to me; I won't take it personal. I can tell you are VERY passionate about this band, its music and its legacy and I respect that wholeheartedly! Hell, I'm the same way! I'm getting on your case because Journey can't afford to lose the long-time diehards like you and I'm just trying, in my own demented way, to figure out why you would throw all that love away for one bad decision???
Hell, if that was the case, you should've gave up when ROR was released or, if you held out that long, after TBF was released. Sure, Perry's voice, although lower, was astounding but the music and songwriting was lazy, boring and complete sell-out shit that was NOT Journey (Just my opinion).
I'm just trying to convince you to stay on board and, if its permanent, give this new version a chance

Plus, who has the last laugh? They already have your money, they don't care what you do with that cd. Throw it out, change your mind next year and then waste more money. Their broker will love you!

I'm pretty pissed about the tapegate thing too...it's lessened my opinion of the involved individuals, but doesn't change the fact that Generations had some music that I really enjoy.

I ain't got Generations Yogi, go chase that garbage truck, get it back and send it to me.......wash the shit of first as customs might not allow in into the UK, you see they think anything with a US postal code is full of shit and if it smell, well fuck there's no chance of it getting through. Kiss the family goodnight and get your ass down to the dumping area....Thanks

Thats pretty damn funny.
I'll try to find out what sector in the dump that our neighborhood trash goes and chase it down for you.
I would just go to Wal Mart and purchase you a copy, but after what AngieKay wrote I would feel like a total dumbass, and hypocrite.
If I can take tomorrow off I will hit the city landfill for ya.

Look, if you can't find the CD tomorrow, have a look around for any dumped Playboy mags, I'd probably get more pleasure from them
If you do find some, check the pages as I don't want any with pages stuck together. Put on the parcel...educational printed material, they'll get through customs that way

NO DOUBT. I'm the hugest Styx fan I know, but that album was a waste. ESPECIALLY after the MASTERPIECE that Cyclorama was. What a dissapointment. At least the songs on Journey's latest were their own.

100% better than Yeah....as for Cyclorama being a masterpiece...I'll second that
