Anyone wayching the 9/11 movie on ABC?

Pretty riveting.

Not all that accurate, IMO, tho.

Well I did happen to catch that GOOGLE video you post awhile ago, the 9/11 conspiracy and re-search, and caught a simular program that was aired here in Australia 2 nights ago. After watching these doco's, all these 9/11 films make me wanna puke. Its all lies.

As much as I despise Bush, I do think 9/11 was done by camel jockeys.

This ABC show is the real deal, even though the Clinton Administration is being portrayed in an unfavourable light.

There have been conspiracies all through out history
esp in the US a country that sometimes needs a good reason to get public support for an adverse reaction.
I think this was a bit different than say Pearl Harbor
I don;t think anyone was aware of it
and it is so horrific that that plane strike took down the entire structure.
Planes have hit the Empire state building in the past and left a big gaping hole
but it's curious as to how the WTC was leveled
It almost looked like it was charged and set off.

You know I can't see a reason for the distruction
but the damage does suggest there may have been some other source of distruction other than the plane.

I suppose the point is mute
Nothing can change what happened
or bring back the mothers, fathers, sisters, brothers. wives, husbands, children and lovers

I left NY a year before that tragedy and its hard for me to imagine NYC wo those 2 towering pillars I so often walked under that graced the NY skyline

God bless America,
Land that I love,
Stand beside her, and guide her,
Thru the night with a light from above.

From the mountains, to the prairies,
To the oceans, white with foam...
God bless America, my home sweet home.
God bless America, my home sweet home.

My thoughts and prayers all with all of you that lost loved ones five years ago. It was a tragic event that in one way or another touched all of us. I live across the country so I was not physically near the tragedy. I remember watching TV for hours on end, not sleeping only crying. Knowing that I could never phathom what it must have been like in NYC and Washington DC on that terrible day and knowing that at any moment it could happen again. May God be with you, may he comfort you in this time of remembering and sorrow. May you feel his presence as you recall the memories of your loved ones.

I'll stand and remember in silence today, like I do every 9/11. Unfortunately I no longer pray, too much goes on in this world that has sadly made me stop this practice. I remain silent and think a little.

So you believe 9/11 was all a hoax? Do you have any idea how many people would have to be involved in something so enormous? You must have been born retarded or dropped on your head repeatedly as a small child! Ugh, the abundance of ignorance and the wackos on this site, I don't know how much longer I can stand it

Thanks Deano for giving Bush a little more credit than blowing up the WTC and murdering thousands of innocent civilians. I taped the ABC show to watch later, Clinton didn't have the balls to deal w/ terrorism he was too concerned w/ his poll numbers. That's why him and his party tried to bully ABC to not air it. From what I hear most of the info used for it came from the 9/11 commission report. It would have been even worse if Sandy Burglar didn't escape with documents stuffed in his drawers and socks.
Clinton raised his hand and took an oath to protect us, and at every turn he failed miserably. Nothing you can say can change that. Democrats/Liberals won't protect us, they're too concerned about hurting peoples feelings. That's why they don't want us racially profiling Arab's or Muslims at the airport. Yup, we have to pull out 78 yr old grandma just to keep them happy. That's why I'm kind of shocked at some of your wacko comments. You don't strike me as a "I hope everyone in the world will like us again" Lib? I'd expect you to be more like, "Hell if we got to profile at the airport, let's start profiling at the airport!" I don't like some of what Republicans do, but at least there are some in the party, like Bush who will put his neck on the line to protect me and my family. Damn the poll numbers or what ANYONE around the world thinks

My thoughts are with all Americans and anyone who has been affected by the events of that horrific day. The disbelief and tragedy is still hard to take in.

Love to you all.

Put his neck on the line? You are kidding?! You have a war mongering fundamentalist Christian as the current administrative head of the most powerful country in the world and you think that's a good thing? He wasn't much good at protection on this day 5 years ago. No actually, that's not true, he did authorise the safe flight out of the country for 9 members of the Bin Laden family.

Is this a thread dedicated to the people who perished on 9/11 or a chance for people to bash Bush and/or Clinton?

I have a friend who decided to go to the gym before work that morning, or else he would have been near the top of the WTC. I do not know anyone who died that day, but feel for those who did. And I feel for the people who are suffering from health problems because of all the toxins they inhaled that day.

I agree with you 100% on the health issue. It's disgusting how people are suffering with serious and terminal lung problems through inhaling dust, asbestos etc. and are receiving no aid. I hope this guy taking the government to court wins; for his family and every other family affected.

You're right, this probably isn't the right place to be getting the boot into Bush, but I find anyone that thinks he's sticking his neck on the lie to protect them or some abstract idea of "freedom" frankly repugnant. I'll leave it there.

That morning I took my oldest to school, came home and was watching Barney on PBS with my youngest 2. My Mom called me to quick turn on the news, that a plane hit a building in NYC, we didn't know details yet. We watched the news together while talking on the phone and then the other plane hit the other tower. My heart dropped. My brother was working downtown and we had no clue how close he was or even where he was. We couldn't get through on his office phone, the phones weren't working. He did get a hold of us a few hours later. He was on the roof of his building taking pictures (he's a photographer), it turns out he was a lot of blocks away. He took pictures as the buildings were falling, it was incredible as he was sending them to us to watch it happen, both on the news and by photos. I'll never forget how weak I felt watching the news all day. He stayed in downtown for a few days instead of going home in Manhatten, he stayed and helped with the Red Cross, with food and drinks, blankets etc. for those that were helping with the rescue.

Here is a picture he took a year later with the light beams.

The conspiracy theorists have nothing but speculation on their side. See my post in the thread in the Politics forum about this subject... http://forums.melodicrock.com/phpBB/vie ... hp?t=16145

Some of those theories seem credible on the surface but they have been thoroughly discredited.

God bless the families of those who perished on this day five years ago. :(

To the civilians, military officers, enlisted men and women and the people (including 6 small children) that died on the plane that hit the Pentagon, we will never forget you. Image
