Thanks Alex!

Note to the guys in the band: Don’t lose hold of Jeff Scott Soto 8)

"a replacement for the replacement"
Jeff Scott Soto’s voice blazed in glory. One could not have asked for a better vocalist to front this band

Wow great review!

Very nice review!

An album of this new incarnation would be more than interesting! I bet Jeff would come up with some mighty powerful vocals ! 8)

I can see JSS and Cain writing the softer songs on a new album. The hard rockers would have another formula: JSS+Schon. 8)

What these guys need is a big spread in a magazine, something to pump up the volume even more. Which one though? most of the public doesn't read Rolling Stone nor Fox and Hound.....

They need a big spread in a mag like Maxim, Revolver or Blender... and then they need to perform at one of the "Race for the Chase" events!

Well, there ya go! Maxim is an excellent choice! I still say Monday Night Football would be good too. I guess their schedule is pretty tight right now though, they are probably getting really really tired, hopefully they are eating their veggies and drinking their Ovaltine.

JSS has breathed life into the band with his vocals and all that energy!

Although there is a huge following of Steve Perry, I’m not convinced that getting a Perry look- and sound-alike was that great of an idea. Although Augeri has lent a lot of credence to the band, and Journey had begun to regain momentum, they had not regained their true fire until now. Note to the guys in the band: Don’t lose hold of Jeff Scott Soto. This may be the bad boy with the golden voice who raises the bar with Journey and puts them over the top, where they deserve to be.

I like this part of the article..............

"This was a Journey that is ripe and ready to compete with any new band out there. And by no means should you classify them in the “classic rock” category so long as they are giving it the energy they are. This show was by no means “soft,” nor “classic.” This was a revitalized, very believable, energetic Journey."

Amen ! :D

If anyone has a boot of the show I'd love to hear it.

You know, wouldn't that be an excellent marketing tool right there, putting a few soundboard boots online???
All these fans not sure if they want to see the band because of the line-up change or because they are JUST NOW finding out that Perry is not in the band could get a quick listen at what to expect... You get a couple good quality boots out & I bet you get a lot more people interested... not to mention some big-wig record execs scratching thier heads thinking, "Wow, maybe these recent reviews aren't all fluff! These guys mean business and could use some major-label push..."
