Is it just me or is JSS kicking more ass in the recent shows? I haven't heard any from this month yet but the most recent one I heard, from San Diego, is an outstanding performance.

At this rate, he may start taking over the other instruments in future shows...

Nope...Just gaining momentum and getting so good that he will absorb the talents of the other guys on stage.

Nope...Just gaining momentum and getting so good that he will absorb the talents of the other guys on stage.

From the videos I've seen lately and even when I saw him in early July (second show for Jeff) he has already built a great 'stage' chemistry with all the guys. EVERYONE looks like they are having a blast and the reviews are are repeating the same words, "Revitalized", "Re-energized", "Hard Rocking", "Fun", "Able to compete with any of the newer bands out there..."

I would LOVE to see this kind of energy carry over into a studio if Jeff is, in fact, gonna stick around. That's why I say, if Jeff is staying, get into a studio right away when this tour ends, harness all this new chemistry and magic and record a killer album! I'm talking a veritible Beast of an Album! Get some new management that cares and knows how to market a band in today's market, bring in a big-name, trendy producer like Rick Rubin (Keep Elson as Engineer to retain that Journey 'sound') and get this band back in the spotlight one more time!

DEFINITELY rest the pipes but... get into Writing mode, as a group, immediately. Right now, everyone looks and sounds so tight on stage; that could make for some unbelievably new material if they start writing soon... hopefully that porta-studio on the bus is getting lots of use

I know JSS plays keyboards but does he play any other instruments, He was hittin the drums during Seperate Ways at one point with Deen when I saw them. Not that he would take over any instruments just wondering if he plays anything else ??

Or they can play Positive Touch and he can hop around playing sax.
