CONCERT IDEA

This has nothing to do with tapegate or JSS being the second coming of....... But I wonder if this would be a good idea??

I saw Journey on their Escape Tour back in '81' at Reunion Areana in Dallas. We were late getting to the show and missed the warmup which I believe was Loverboy. Is that correct?? I believe it was right before or right when Get Lucky came out. We arrived about 10 minutes before Journey took the stage. Could'nt find the damn jack as we were driving in from Paris, Texas.

WOW what an AWESOME concert!!!!!

Anyway here is my idea. What if Journey hooked up with Loverboy again for their next tour and both bands went back and played the EXACT material they played back in 81. None of their future hits just the material they had up until that point. The EXACT concert both bands played back in the day.

Good idea or horrible?????????????

Loveboy is so washed up. No thanks.

Horrible? No. The absolute worst idea I have ever heard.

Go down to Home Depot, buy some cinder blocks, tie a rope through the holes and then to your waist, and jump into the Rio Grande. You should NEVER be allowed to speak again after this latest gem.

Come on? Yogi? Are you on Meth?

If Journey is going to keep doing these 'double bills' then the ultimate teaming up would be with Sammy and hi Waboritas, Hands down!

Horrible. Hasn't JOURNEY travelled down memory lane ENOUGH?

Why don't they just do like Meatloaf and release a sequel to their best selling album, E5C4P3? They could call it "E5C4P3 II - Still Not Stoppin' Believin'"

GAD!

Lula, make sure that this is one of Deano's first "must-do's" when he gets the Manager gig :)

No, that would be too cool. I'm thinking they could stage a triple bill with Journey, Loverboy, and Glass Tiger. Maybe Randy Jackson could replace Ross for the encore.

Yes, Yes, Yes and don't forget Michael Anthony, please.

I inadvertantly saw Loverboy last year, they played some weird radio station show with Collective Soul, who I had gone to see. They were pretty bad...I don't think any of their tunes are particularly memorable, and, as superficial as it sounds, their lead singer as put on a few too many pounds to be moving around the stage like a frontman.

I want to see Journey on their own...I've still never seen them live, but I'm not paying $80 to see them do just over an hour set, sorry. I want to see them on their own show, hopefull that will happen next year with JSS.

Not such a hot idea. I saw Loverboy open for Journey in Colorado in 2004 and Loverboy was pretty bad.

Already working on it. My absolute number choice is a joint tour with Hagar opening and a lot of interaction on stage during both sets.

Hear that Schonny?

My dream concert would be Boston & Journey...The two best sounding live bands on the planet, in my opinion. I've heard early Boston boots and their sound was a bit thin but I saw them live two summers ago and their live sound was phenomenal. Of course, Boston would open. 8)

Hagar would be a cool choice, though.

I'd rather see them with Foreigner. Kelly Hansen sounds great and their catalog is pretty awesome. Sammy is 60 years old and the last time I saw him, he sounded it.

Hmm...Most of the reviews I've read have said that Sammy still sounds great. I've never been to a Sammy show, though, so who knows. Haven't heard any boots, either.

Same here; haven't seen him but I've heard nothing but positive reviews. And when it comes to Sammy, its not all about sounding "studio perfect", its about the fun and whole aptmosphere he brings to a show. I still think this pairing would make for an awesome summer party :)

I don't know. Seems to me he's become the Jimmy Buffett of Rock. Less emphasis on the music and more on the "party". Almost like he's compensating for diminished skills. I'd still go see Journey with him though.

Maybe not.

If there are three Raiders in the car, who is driving?

The Cop.

How do Raider fans count to ten?

0-1, 0-2,0-3,0-4, etc....

How are the Raiders like Possums?

They play dead at home, and are killed on the road

Seriously, maybe 3 wins..Maybe.

Without an o-line probably not. I taped the S.D. game and can't bring myself to watch it.

A good start would be having Brooks only take 3-4 steps back and toss instead of 7-8 steps... Guys were swarming from the outside like mad, made it look too easy! Fuck, i could throw for 100 yds a game with Randy Moss, lamont Jordan and even Jerry Whiney-Ass Porter on the field!

Porter is in hot water.

Reports by the SF Examiner have him pumping his fists as Aaron Brooks was sacked for the 56th time.

Art Shell is clueless offensively.

3 /4 step drop? You are right. Should have adjusted at the midway point of the 1st quarter.

Porter's an idiot, I dropped his worthless ass from my fantasy team. Hanging out in the training camp parking lot shirtless w/ what looked like a WWF belt made of gold and diamonds in the shape of a $ sign. Fake ass T.O.

What makes it worse is this: Did you here where their no-name offensive coordinator came from??? The guy's been out of football for 6-7 years, I don't think he EVER had any NFL coaching experience and he was the Mayor (No Shit!) of some butt-fuck mid-west town!!! Cowherd was talking about the Raiders today and how they try to be so "Anti-Establishment" and Cool and "The Blacksheep"...
I'm thinking they are gonna have a good shot at that ND quarterback at the #1 draft pick in '07.

First of all, Saint John, get an av!

Kelly rocks with Foreigner. Definitely a good fit!

Sammy's cool... never seen him solo, only with VH
