Thank's Andrew, for posting that link! On the FTLOSM, there is a track called Friend's Of Mine, where Steve sound's kinda rough. Anyone know when that was recorded?

From the front page a few weeks back:
Departure adds Natural Thing and Little Girl.
Frontiers adds Only The Young (finally!!), Ask The Lonely, Liberty and Only Solutions.
Raised On Radio adds two 'live video mixes' - Girl Can't Help It and I'll Be Alright Without You.
Trial By Fire adds the Japanese bonus track I Can See It In Your Eyes and a very cool booklet I'm told!
Street Talk adds My My My, Harmony and Makes No Difference (all demos from the unreleased Alien Project sessions) plus Don't Tell Me Why You're Leaving and If Only For The Moment Girl.
For The Love Of Strange Medicine adds If You Need Me, Call Me (from Against The Wall, same as on You Better Wait single), One More Time (from Against The Wall, same as on You Better Wait single), Can't Stop (unreleased ballad from FTLOSM sessions), Friends of Mine (unreleased, from Against the Wall)(and an awesome rocker I hear!) plus Missing You (Live).
Greatest Hits + Five Unreleased adds Don't Fight It - Steve's duet with Kenny Loggins.
All releases are with deluxe booklets and in a digipack format.

Thanks for posting the link Andrew. It is always exciting to here new Steve Perry tracks. It's such a shame that the album Against The Wall was never released when it was originally completed. I think at the time it would have really made some noise. It is such a great album. Anyway, everyone get out there and buy more cd's!!!

Why did they spend so much time on these albums and left the first 4 re-releases virtually unchanged?

Maybe because it was Perry's project and he wants to toot his own horn as much as possible.
Or maybe buyers need a little more incentive to buy FTLOSM than they do Infinity...

Or maybe because Perry would need the approval of the other band members in order to put out unreleased Journey material.
On his solo work, he has the final say so.

From "Friend of Mine": Lyrics:
"No matter who you are,
You can't buy friends
With Caviar...
We're standin' face to face;
A different time, a different place:
Friend of Mine...
We've been together so long,
It's for you I sing this song...
Friiiiiiiiiiiiiiiieeeeeeennnnnnnnddddddd....."
Right back atcha, Steve......in SPADES!

I'm so looking forward to these reissues. Old new music from SP is better than nothing at all, IMO. I'd love some new, new stuff though.

It would have been even better if he would have put "Lost Angels" on the FTLOSM remaster....
that song DESERVES a clean, digital remaster without a doubt....

A band called Raine did a cover of "Lost Angels" a couple of years ago.
