Andrew,
Have you tried to interview Journey Management or even S. Augeri since they decided to make the lead singer change this summer? I'm curious on their response. Maybe, you would have better luck with J. Cain since he has a new CD out.

Any of those interviews would be really welcome at this time. Great idea.

I'm in constant contact with mgmt....There are no interviews at this time regarding Steve or with Steve himself.
I'll of course be talking to all the guys in person next month, looking forward to that!
And Steve dropped me a quick e-mail this week, I think he is doing ok under the circumstances.

Can you give us any more details from his e-mail?
Is his throat any better? What is up with the Tall Stories II cd? Is he writing any music?
Give him our best wishes for recovery!

No details, just a quick hello. Written on 9/11, so as a New Yorker, Steve was just reflecting on that and saying hello.
Waiting for a Tall Stories update next.

So he's still in existance then. Good to know the ugly sisters in the Highlands don't have him handcuffed to their red leather couch.

Yes I do think he's suffered enough.
But we'll not go down that road... my thoughts on this whole thing are well-known.
You have to admit it would be funny if the ugly sisters thing was true though.

Andrew,
Are you of the opinion he is out of the band for good? I find it interesting that in the middle of a tour, they shut out the press. This is the time to be promoting their music and tour. I'm surprised their contract does not include a clause that insures they promote the event.
I am going to the show in Saratoga tomorrow night. As an Augeri fan, I am skeptical. I sat 4th row last summer and in no way did I feel Steve was not singing.

So I'm
assuming even if Steve
himself wanted to say a few words to his fans, he is not permitted to do so....?? That would appear that he's still obligated, under contract, to Journey.

They have never been very eager to promote themselves... I don't find it odd.

Thanks Andrew. Figures you get the scoop that he is still breathing!
Oh and thanks for getting Tomorrow on your CD. Can't wait to get it next week! The bonus tracks are great!
Waiting patiently for the TS2

Well, the ModSquad over at the other site never ceases to amaze me...
The following just transpired in a thread over there...
My comment in a thread:
"But it looks like Mr Augeri is on the mend. At least he has contacted someone (MR.com's Andrew on 9/11) and now we know that he is getting well and that Tall Stories II will see the light of day soon. That in itself should put a smile on many faces here...
I just can't figure why he hasn't said anything in this forum though..."
Now the classic response from "The Magistrate":
"Please refrain from posting information based on here say. Until word is released in an official statement you will not continue this conversation. "
Wow! Seriously sounds like someone is trying to cover "all-things-Augeri" up like a rotting corpes on your living room floor...
Or calling Andrew a liar...

Carlitto: Anyone with any common sense can figure out that Augeri has obviously been told to lay low (under the radar) by management. BUT all this silence will naturally lead to speculation and the Back Talk mods don't handle that very well. I just don't bother posting there anymore, it's not worth it.

Of course Steve is not going to comment on what's going on...I wouldn't expect him to.
He was just saying hello to me as we have ben working on the Tall Stories song for my compilation and he also was reflecting on 9/11, and I passed that sentiment on, as I know a lot of people have been thinking of him and are happy just to hear anything from him.
Andrew have you

I don't mean to be a
smartass, or a
dumbass...whichever the case may be. But why would would Steve "of course not comment"? Why would no one "expect him to"? Shit...we
ALL expect him to. Or,
somebody to. What
IS the big secret? Why all the "hush hush" from everyone? I have lost
so much respect for all involved because of this "no comment" mentality. Is the truth so completley shocking that we (the fans) will just not be able to handle it? Come on...WTF? We're all human beings here. Who among us hasn't fucked up? Just step up and tell the truth...which, by the way, should have been done in the first place. We're a forgiving species (except for Deano

)...just tell the truth, we'll all stop speculating, put the conspiracy theories to rest, and let's all move on. Is it a matter of
national security or something? Are peoples' lives at stake? I know...the FBI is involved, right? Come on, Journey. I feel like you've personally told me "Fuck you", because you haven't had the decency to let your fans know what went on.

I agree, in part. I think replacing SA whilst out on tour was a clever strategic move and possibly spared JSS a lot of the potential fall-out. But the time is ripe to tell the truth; the longer they now leave it, the worse it will get and the more lies will be necessary. There's always, too, the possibility that the band and their management haven't made the final decision yet about SA's fate and are leaving their options open. This is the only legitimate reason I can see why they would maintain this silence - once they state that SA is not coming back, they close that door forever. We might find that JSS is still officially "temporary" in 2 years' time.
Perhaps they will announce SA's retirement on the same day SP releases new music.
I doubt we will ever see any admission about tapes. I suspect that after a long hiatus, it will be announced that SA's recovery has not been as rapid or complete as hoped that that the band intend to ....................... (insert likely action here).

What ever Andrew knows or thinks regarding the Augeri issue cannot be submited to this web site,it must come through official sources or i would imagine the relationship with Journey will suffer.
If and when a interview does happen with Journey or Augeri there may be strict guide lines on the questions, i would like to think that Augeri and Journey know Andrew is a big supporter of them on this site and they will talk to him when the time is right

Lets just sat that Steve did speak to Andrew about Journey, tapes and his position in the band, that should be between him and Steve. For him to print that conversation would cause problems to say the least.
Dont get me wrong i think the way the band have handled this situation is shit! and i would love all the guys put on the spot regarding the past months events but i am not sure that will happen, though as paying customers we do have a right to question the shows we have paid for

Two questions Andrew,
1. Will there be guidelines what you can talk about?
2.If not will you be asking them about the tape situation?
