I am not sure I fully comprehend what is being discussed here but...Steve Perry is bonafide legend. The voice.

As I see it Journey will always be Steve's gig if he wants it. If not, some great solo material would be a real bonus. The man has the finest singing voice I have ever heard and it is criminal that it is no longer being heard.

Dear Steve,
remember back in 1982 and after the concert you were exhausted and needed a place to hang for few days in seclusion and you came out to the ranch with my family? remember we rode horses and ate bbq and drank sangria and threw rocks at the jack rabbits, that's when you told me that if I ever needed a favor to call you....well we want you back Steve-we miss you and I know you still love Neal and would like to hear his guitar bring the best out in your voice, he's still got it, we know you do too. Please Steve, please make a recording with Neal. okay that never happened, but I wish it did. hurry back Steve, you record it and we'll buy it, again.

A year ago I wouldn't have wanted the band to take Perry back because of what he has done to them... now I think it would be good, because they're making themselves look worse with every new singer... they're on #3 now (4 if you count Rolie)...

Something new would be nice.

Doesn't Steve sometimes make announcements/send greetings via Fan Asylum around the time of his Birthday?

I'm hoping he may announce a new CD then.

fingers crossed.

It's not like it's an impossible dream, to hear them perform again. They are alive and healthy. The antagonism could only make for more poignant lyrics for an album. I think that TBF was written this way.

I guess that you know by now, Mr.Perry. You Rule!

What else can be said of the greatest singer to grace a rocknroll stage. His voice touches a part of ur soul that no other singer could ever reach. The quality , tone, timber, sound of his voice is so unique that no one could ever duplicate it.
Yes, it was god given and he knew how to use it. HE NEVER had to lip it. In fact, he never even wore of the things in his ear. I'm getting older and I hope I live to see him return to doing anything. TBF was the greatest! :)

1 if you count Perry....before and after have sucked. I don't count JSS because they haven't cut an album. He's just karaoke...and I'm not being negative, just truthful.

No please. Don't ruin my sweet memories, if the voice is the same we heard on Trial By Fire or on FTLOSM there is no way I'd want to hear Perry sing Journey classics. JSS is now the best choice to carry on the legacy, I'd really like to hear a new record.
With all the respect for the guy who has been the best singer in the universe, Mr. Perry 1978-1986.
Cheers!

Not sure what you mean there, buddy. I just want Journey to return to being a band. The kind that evolves with the times. Not a nostalgic touring machine. And definitely not a Milli Vanilli clone. The Augeri experiment failed years ago. Red13 should have signaled the end. That was perhaps the biggest heap of shit they ever recorded. Not to mention the production quality was that of a Commodore 64. In actuality, this whole lipping thing was the best thing since 1996. It allowed for Augeri's departure, Soto's entry and lit a fire under Perry's ass. Thank you Deano, for expediting the process of Journey once again evolving.
