Yeah dude. You just responded to me in another thread about this very topic. Trying to make a point?

He isn't returning, I can promise you that.

Steve was there, we were all happpy to see him, he has a lot of friends on this tour as well as his bandmates, why wouldn't he come to a show in his own backyard? I had a great chat with him & he was very optimistic with me holding the fort out here. I love the guy, he is one of the good ones, I'll leave it at that as the rest of his business is his business, not for me or anyone else to share. Just to let you know he looked great & was in great spirits, very positive.

You might be right Deano, but until you can back up that statement with credible proof, it's all speculation at this point....

No it isn't. Like I said, I can promise you he will never sing for Journey again.

Here you go!

And for Deano, you should know that the first two hours are the most critical time for treating a stroke so if you start to have symptions of a stroke you should go directly to the hospital!

The odds of Steve Augeri singing again for Journey are VERY good. The odds of him continuing to front the band are minimal. My guess is this....he sings a show or two....demonsatrates that his voice is still fucked and then, politely and gracefully, resigns/steps down. This makes a TON of sense for PR purposes. Anyone else agree?

What, is he going to sing live, or roll tape?

He is a slime. If you want fame, fans and bank, you had better have the talent to earn it. Going up on stage knowing you are not singing is ballsy to be sure, but atr the same time, pretty disgraceful. I will promise you all this right now. IF he comes back, I think for one you will need to find some new members of Journey, because some will leave....and two, IF he ever sings live for this band, I personally will unplug the tape unit so everyone knows he is not singing. That is not a drunk memo, but a promise.

I get the feeling that Augeri was circuitously ousted from his own band.
I bet the night he was informed of his departure he thought it was temporary, while others secretly rejoiced in the little-known truth.

Much like being on-stage with Perry during ROR, I'm sure Neal put on his happy face to see Augeri in NJ, but secretly wishes the guy would just stay the hell away.

Sheesh... some round here are still gettin off on the fantasy, that somehow Augeri slipped a mixing desk in, secretly, back stage, along with Kevin Elson, hidden in his Red leather keks (strides), and didnt tell anyone he was miming on stage.... oh.. the look of shock on Schons face, when to his horror he realised that Augeri was lipping on half a dozen songs..when they had all only ever agreed to one or two

Grow up guys... for fucks sake...and realise they all were in on it..all guilty... Steve has as much right to show up, as the bare faced cheek of his band members, who have the sheer gall to show up on stage to play, hoping that it all just "goes away" well it aint gonna go away.... this board proves it..we are all as still wound up about it as we where months ago

They will have to face the music some time soon..... if it wasnt for the fact that no rock journalists are remotely interested in them at all.. they would already have been grilled severely by the music press..as it is, no one outside of gig goers, and us handful here on the board, give a flying fuck about who sings, or who mimes!!! Journey today... equals.. no relevance to todays quick-fire..quickly-consumed, and spat out, music scene!!

Hahah... fuck...I hope this news gives Deano nightmares..... !!!

I can see that pile o shit Avatar bubbling !! lol

Hes comin back dude..... lol

8) I agree with most of what you're saying. I personally see that little charade they pulled as a team effort no doubt about it, I would however be willing to forgive and forget. As mad as I was at SA that all changed after the classless way the situation was handled. IMO they had no right to do that and just proves they are never to be trusted, there's no dignity in deceit.
I like JSS a lot, he reminds me so much of Chris Cornell which was my first impression and now I'm seeing it in reviews as well but for his sake I hope he uses this opportunity for exposure (DL fans are loving him) but doesn't stay with current company.

 Rockin' Deano, you seem so confident that Augeri is not returning; however, you did not answer my original question. How do you know this? I am just curious and I am sure others are as well. If you were told something in confidence and then you felt the need to share with others then we thank you (and of course will never confide in you) but if you are just pulling this out of a piece of your anatomy...well then won't you have egg on your face if he does come back!!

Just believe it and know it.

I didn't pull it out of ass, either. Look, I just don't sit here and brainstorm. I get out and investigate, make calls and so forth. Andrew does the same thing, but the difference between Andrew and I are that he has to be much more politically correct than I do. He can't come in here and blurt stuff out. I find it funny no one ever publicly asks Mac the same questions I get daily. Trust me, Mac knows his shit. I am glad he doesn't get public questioning...it will only make life harder for him trying to answer in a non biased way.

Were you there Dean? Because I heard from people who were there, that Neal was having problems and yelling at Scott all night. Hopefully they will post and tell you themselves. They were shocked because they never saw him have such issues in all the years they have been going to shows.

OK...one last question (it is a two parter and unless the answer provokes another ?) 1. Why haven't they removed Augeri's picture off the site and 2. If you have been told, what is holding them back from disclosing this to the rest of the world?
