How come Deano must make evrey thread with the mention of the word Augeri into a profane, attack on him and all the people that even mention his name. We get the point you don't like him, you might even hate him, hat the fact at what he did. We all get that you have been singing the same song the last few months. Can anyone just mention the fact that they saw Augeri at the show and that be it, NO it becomes an attack from the know it all. I have asked you before how you have gotten such information on the band or how you got ahold of Augeris demo tapes when he sang the first time for Journey bak in 98. No response if you want more credability in my eyes it would be better too tell all your source of information. You have alos told me before that you have no source, I find this hard too believe. You will probably launch a profantiy laced attack on me for putting this out there but, for the most part people are here for information on the band, too discuss shows, and there opinons on the band. Not too attack someone for there thoughts, and before you say it I have only posted at BT 8-10 times and I prefer this board. But what gives you the right too attack every person that metions Augeris name, the fact that you have over 7000 posts... that you can put on your resume. For the record I am not happy what Augeri did either and it kindda upset me but I didn't let it ruin my day, I accepted it and let the band move on...though they could of quicker and made some type of real announcement, and I know enjoy JSS singing for the band. Augeri had his time without him we would of had no Journey.. we could of been in the same place as 87-96. I was a fan of Arrival, but Red 13 and Generations did nothing for me. augeri proably overstayed in the band this last year, I didn't think his performance last year on the 30th anniversary tour was no where as good as his previous.

Anyway too wrap this up and wait for DEANO to call me every name in the book, I just ask wgo gave you the power too rule this board?? This a a fans board and you are way over the top, and you will say honest and I can agree with that, but you are also personely, vulgar and out of line at times. There are more polite ways to express your points ( and most are vaild) but you take it too a new level.

Look, what he did was to gamble Journey's legacy, of which he had NOTHING to do to create it. Perry sang/wrote all the classics. For Augeri to do this, and want to keep doing it is beyond what I will ever take as a fan. Yes, I am a fan, but I'm not over the top. I happened to be the guy who brought this out into the light. If I didn't bring this up, Steve Augeri would still be getting glowing reviews, and his fans would still be saying, "Steve Perry Who" and JSS would not be heard from, and that is criminal. Augeri wants the millions of dollars, the fans, and the write ups, but doesn't have the talent to earn that right. People say Alex Rodriguez is overpaid. No. He is paid a monetary sum to provide results. Augeri was being paid to cheat on his job. Sorry, being a rock n roll frontman requires skill and talent, something perry and Jeff possess. Augeri, possesses neither quality, and now his moral charachter is of high doubt too.

Let's recap.

Augeri had no morale backbone to say, "Guys, I just have it anylonger." He would STILL be synching and what if, really, what if, a major media source wanted a juicy story. Please don't tell me DL/Journey is not making much bank, thus making it a juicy story. Can you imagine if they went after this instead of me? I promised Andrew and others that when they went live, I was done. I stuck to my word, and now am behind these guys 100% again. If I were a naysayer I would rethink your position. I can promise you next year will be one of substance.

How does a guy who thank Steve Perry in liner notes and publicly say he admires Perry for the Great he was, knowingly go out and mock his songs? What if I went up on stage and played mock guitar to a tape of Neal Schon? Trust me, I can make all the grimaces, faces, contorted looks and I can wear sunglasses. I can play guitar as good as Schon can....to a tape! Would you all be upset if that happened? Probably so.

Sources? Don't worry about my sources. I am in no position to name them. You say I will get more credibility if I reveal them? How so? What does it matter if you all know my source(s)? If what I say turns out to be true, that's the bottom line. Please don't tell me I am full of shit either, because I am constantly brought up, so some here think I have some credibility.

This is Andrew's board, and he controls who can be allowed to say what here. Its very obvious that certain posters have free reign, and others do not. This makes me wonder about who a certain person's so-called "sources" are. That too, is obvious.
There is clearly a close bond between Andrew, RND and Jss, and that's fine. It is what it is.

As far as being attacked for mentioning SA, that is just plain crazy. SA was/is a part of Journey's legacy. He was chosen by Neal and Jon, invited by them, to join the band. Whether or not certain people can't handle that fact is their problem, not the problem of the rest of this board. This is a Journey board, and SA is a part of Journey, so like it or not, he can be mentioned here as often as people like. If someone has a personal problem with him and it is clear that the problem of hating him has become personal, then that person should be regarded as severly biased and his opinions should be taken with a huge grain of salt.

Its a matter of opinion, and in a free speech society, who would expect anything less? EXACTLY...which is a major complaint I have about BT. The more time that goes by, the more this place is becoming exactly like BT. The threads are named differently, but it's the same cheerleader crap...They are just cheering for a different camp.

Deano I will not resend an e-mail from several months ago and I know why you didn't respond and it wasn't because you didn't know me since you trusted me enough to confide in me about JSS being the replacement and Augeri was fired before Andrew made the announcement. I didn't open my mouth to a soul but you have to agree they handled it like shit and that may well come back to bite them in the ass. Nothing wrong with wanting the band to continue on of course since they're great but if you honestly stand back and take a look with an unbiased viewpoint then you might actually understand that the way SA was publicly humiliated garned a lot of sympathy from some who wouldn't normally have cared much and then of course the SA fans lash out at you not only because you outted him but then condone the others participation in the farse or dismiss it as minimal when in fact as long as he was doing it they had plenty of time and opportunity to have done something about it but didn't till you went public. No disrespect meant to JSS, as I am an admirer and a fan. Just thought the friendship with Andrew extended to RND. My mistake, and glad of it. Association of the closer degree to this type of person could mean big trouble to someone with an image to project. Just my opinion, of course.

No, not the fact that this board is home to a foul mouthed, agressive, racist, xenophobic, chauventistic, ego-centric, domineering, insulting, loud and disrespectful person such as Deano, nor the fact that he is allowed to continue posting here. OK, sometimes his sarcasm can be funny, but that doesn't excuse all his other less desirable characteristics (and every one of the above characteristics is exhibited by Deano on a regular basis).

What I find even sadder is the fact that several people on this forum hero worship him and make excuses for his little outbursts and accept without question that it is reasonable for him to insult anybody he comes into contact with.

If Deano could curb some of these outbursts and extreme behaviour I'm sure he might occasionally have something valuable to say. Unfortunately most of his points get lost in obsenities.

I've never taken issue with your 'facts', even though they are often contradictory, and thus obviously include some element of BS. My main issue with your posts is with the delivery and attitude to others.
