For those who've been to the show and/or heard the boots now's a good time to tab your favorite JSS covers, the one you enjoy or think he does best.
Mine was and still is Chain Reaction. Jaw-dropping vocal on this on the Atlanta, GA show...watch out for the line "Somebody's got to pay (wow)."
Neal changes things up on guitar too with some totally cool new licks.

"Save Me" and "Innuendo" by far.
as for Journey covers, yeah I'd pick Atlanta's "Chain Reaction," too. Awesome!
Almost as good as the man himself.
I'm still waiting on good boots of the others to judge.

Chain Reaction,,,
and his OVERALL BEST COVER OF ANY SONG in my opinion is Madonna's "FROZEN" . MUCH better than the original!

It's a 3 way toss up. Chain Reaction, Dead Or Alive, and Edge Of The Blade. My thoughts anyway.

I got news for you.....JSS isn't doing Journey covers. Those are his now. He is the new lead singer.

I agree. It's kind of insulting to say Jeff is "covering" Journey songs. He's got the job, temporary or not. When you pay to see "JOURNEY" you pay to see JSS. I was fortunate enough to see his first night fronting Journey, and he did an amazing job with the ballads...I loved "Open Arms" & "Faithfully". I like AWYWI too.

I wonder why they didn't let him continue to do them? When I saw them Deen did them. Hmmm...

I know that Jonathan wanted Deen to sing Faithfully.

You have news for nobody.....
I'm not calling them covers in the cover band sense....I'm saying covering the vocal parts.
BTW, what the hell song do you think he does the best job on?

And I don't even listen to your blind ramblings. Your Penn State degree isn't worth the paper it's signed on. Dude, you are unbelievably stupid sometimes.

I'll take that as a compliment, you bullshitter, you.
Instead of cramming your know it all agendas down the throat of the board, can't you weigh in w/ some of the songs you think J Double S is unreal on? I think (and am happy about it) that's he's our guy on a go-forward basis.

Yea, w/out having had the pleasure YET of seeing them in person I will look back and think his upper deck 500 ft home runs on the 2 Frontiers rockers EOTB and CR are going to be what galvanized him into the new frontman.
SHML is a ballad viloation. Gets points for being a non-power ballad, but a transgression nevertheless.

JSS did Where Were You? I would love to hear that, although Deen does a great job of singing and playing drums on that one.
I really liked the energy JSS brought to Separate Ways.
