I shouldn't post when pissed off, so let's try this again now I have calmed down.

Thanks for the posts attacking my moderation of the board - glad you all appreciate the hard work that goes into running and maintaining this board and the site in general.

You want free speach and an open comments policy, yet I have to read stuff like I have this morning about me. Charming.

Ok, so the main problem as bloody always is Deano's posts.

Well, here's the thing - Deano is hated by some because of what he orchestrated this year as far as the taped vocal scandal.
It is obvious to me that many would like to see him burried and run off this board and you do your very best to influence my decisions. I see right through you folks.

That said, I constantly have to warn Dean and remove posts as he just goes over the top in his defence of his actions and of himself.

He is entitled to defned himself, as he does get singled out for attack here.

I ask people not to be abusive, I ask Dean to behave himself...

I delete / edit / lock posts and threads. I spend more time here than I should taking care of everyone's needs.

People cast judgements without thinking how those judegements affect others.

In order to satisfy the MAJORITY (not the minority), I will mak this request of Dean - Dean, I ask you to please refrain from mentioning users of the BT forum and I ask you NOT to attack anyone for their views UNLESS they attack you first.

I ask you to respect the views differing from yours and I request that you respect my wishes here.

I could make the same appeal to several others.

If these requests are NOT respected and acted upon, I will have no choice than to ban posting priviliages for a certain length of time and that goes for ANYONE else.

Now that I have done this I will unlock the board.

What you all chose to do with this advice is up to you. I have publicly laid down the law here for Dean and for ALL, so the rest is up to you.

No complaints here. I love the board and the site and just ignore people I don't like. It's actually pretty easy.

Me too. I'm fairly new here and I enjoy coming here no matter what, and if I didn;t I would not post here.

You're doing a great job. Not to sound like a broken record, but after reading one thread here it should be very apparent to everyone what this site is like if you don't like it, stay away!! Even though I don't always agree with Deano his wit is quite impressive!

I admit I get extremely tired of the "BT is full of cows" and "Augeri is the worst person ever" stuff, but I have never complained to Andrew about it. This board is interesting, that's why I keep coming back.

I'd like to complain that I've never travelled "down under," would really like to, but don't enjoy flying (especially from California)...

Beyond that, the length of time I spend here comes and goes with how busy I am, so it's difficult to really get seriously involved with many of the conversations since they're not even really conversations, but more or less basically electronic graffiti. Most of the time, I "fly in," read or post, then "fly out."

Frankly, I'm here for the beer and that's another thing I'd like to complain about...the LACK thereof...if you can't take care of that, well then I guess I have no choice...but to buy my own.

I can't even imagine how much work goes in to running the best music site on "the web"...and I thank you very much for it. The last thing you need to do is come here and have to "moderate".

Just a short story. I was a member of another Classic Rock Forum for quite some time. It was a great place with a lot of good people. But there was also a lot of bitching and personal attacks and the like. So one day, the "Host" decided the Forum was too much of a hassle and *poof*...it was gone.


So come on, people...Andrew has more important things to do than come here and read through everything to make sure everyone is being nice. When you're in a man's house...you show some respect to his other guests, whether you like them or not. This should be no different.

Kiss Asylum did the same thing a few years ago,, it was a great little kiss forum , but people got way out of line, then one day ,,,,,,,,gone.. over,,,..
