THE WB GOES REALITY

Postby yogi » Sat Sep 23, 2006 2:11 am

While combing the internet I came across this article. I am not very good at cutting & pasting so I will just give you the highlights.

UPI- Neal Schon guitar god and the leader of the rock supergroup Journey has announced that the band will soon be teaming up with the WB Network on a new television show titled 'The Next Steve Perry'. In anticipation of a Jeff Scott Soto meltdown, and a tour with Def Leppard extending into the year 2011 the WB and Neal finalized contracts on there new television show Wednesday.

The show will pit celebrity singers against one another in a 16 week showdown to find 'The Next Steve Perry'. The winner will be announced in March 2010, will then rehearse with the band, and become the next lead singer of 'The Supergroup Journey' for the 14th leg of their Def Leppard Summer Tour 2010.

Already scheduled to appear in week one is Britney Spears singing 'Girl Cant Help It'. Christopher Cross will sing 'Faithfully'. The Chimney Sweeper from The Village People will sing 'Cant Tame The Lion'. The Theme From Baretta Singers have committed to sing 'Escape'. Keith Partridge & Shirley Jones will team up to sing 'Feeling That Way' & 'Anytime' to round out the week 1 contestants. Cat Stevens if not locked up is scheduled to host the grand festivities.

More singers are being signed daily for this epic reality TV show.

According to Neal ' if we play this right, and the proper singer is chosen, we could end up headlining some of the final shows with Def Leppard. Thats our main goal'.

As for the WB well ratings are its main goal. 'It's a 'Journey' our programmers felt that we should venture into' a spokesperson for the network stated.

Eric,

Yogi's been on both the Styx and Journey boards here for a few years, just like you! This was funny! A lot better than some of the stuff that's been posted on here :D

With all the reality shows that are out there, you never know!

Don't forget, Steve P. was asked before Tommy Lee in that going back to College show :)

I am glad someone appreciates me.

Two days ago, my wife thought I was a TOTAL retard when she opened a UPS package addressed to me and found a Steve Perry book.

Then I had to sleep in the backyard among the dog shi t when she found out that I payed almost 12 dollars in shipping for a $19.99 book where my 4 year old son could of taken a better cover photo.

Thank god I didnt order Suzanne DeYoungs book!!

Sorry wrong fourm!!!

If the WB only would of THUNK of my reality show before shall we say 'voice enhancement'.

Maybe they would'nt of needed a merger to save themselves.
