Songs You Want to Hear Jeff Do LIVE...

I know this has probably been discussed before but who cares!
Hearing boots of the guys doing some rare stuff at recent soundchecks has had me thinking a lot about what older Journey material I would LOVE to hear Jeff take a stab at.
With that said, here is a small sampling of some of the tunes "I" would love to hear Jeff sing the next time the guys roll into my town; not ALL of them but any combo of 4-5 of them:

The Party's Over
Precious Time
Sweet & Simple
Lovin' you is Easy
Still They Ride
Troubled Child
Send Her My Love
Rubicon
DIXIE-FUCKIN-HIGHWAY
Message of Love
Liberty
Why Can't this Night
And surprisingly...
Easy to Fall and Higher Place

And Hell, Bring back "Suzanne" for Deeno to sing! He tore that song up and made it likeable again :)

Any thoughts???

Troubled Child is #1 on my list 'cause it's never (I don't think) been done live. I think JSS could rock the hell outta that one. :-)

would love to hear sweet & simple... especially since jss "dropped the gantlet" not too long ago!

"it's whaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa aaaaaaaaaaa aaaaaaaaaaaaaat i like to do!"

that's a pretty high note there... can jss do it? };C))

3) Precious Time
4) Daydream
5) Send Her My Love
6) Girl Can't Help It
7) I'll Be Alright Without You
8) Happy To Give
9) Good Morning Girl

17) When You Love A Woman
18) Too Late

Also - I'd love to hear them open with Majestic - and maybe even do a version of JSS/Schon's "Believe In Me"....and by March next year maybe at least two new songs as well so the set isn't entirely backward-looking.

I would dearly LOVE to hear the guys open with "Majestic/Too Late" and do it LIVE, not that taped BS they used in the early 80s.

Of what I don't think they've covered w/ Jeff yet:

La Raza
Good Morning, Girl
I'm Cryin' (f'ing 'postrophes. Hate 'em in song names) if only only to hear the real bluesman in Schon breathe
Pos Touch
Once You Love Somebody
1 More
Can't Tame The Lion
Higher Place
The Time
The Place In Your Heart
Out Of Harm's Way

Pretty much agree with your list there Matt........and would definately like to hear "Believe in Me" also. But I would take "Precious Time", "Good Morning Girl" and "Trial by Fire" off and replace with "Dixie Highway", "Message of Love" and "Where were you". :)

Yes - "Message of Love" would be a good one. I forget about that. Also - I've seen Journey do "Where Were You" in the UK earlier this year so it can't be included on my 'wish they could play that one' list. And I've never liked "Dixie Highway"!

How about Deen doing "A Better Life"? I'm sure we agree on that one.....

And...they'll never ever play it in a million years and no-one seems to like it anyway...but I'd also vote for "It's Just The Rain".

I have to disagree with the "Message of Love" requests. It fell flat when they tried it as the opener on the Arrival tour...and the general mass felt it was a bland song when released to radio in '96. I personally skip over it nearly everytime.

Hehe...I've always liked Dixie Highway, love the energy Perry gave it (ya, sexy lyrics and all  loved it on the Departure dvd boots and even on the FTLSM boots).....would love to see JSS powering that one up! And ok, I've seen Deen singing Where were you, it was great.......taking that one back and giving it to Deen. Also, I couldn't agree more with ya on "A Better Life!" And I think JSS has the right tone/rasp to do "It's just the rain" but you're right that one will never see the light of day in a setlist.
