I think you're giving Deano way too much credit, in terms of his "swaying" how people feel about the music they listen to. Also, not everyone on this site finds Deano to be the most likeable guy on the planet! You should know that better than most! As much as the guy amuses me, I can assure you that some guy I know nothing about is going to form my opinion on who I should like or who I shouldn't like, regardless of what his opinion is. One fan is not going to dictate to Journey Nation who they should accept or not accept as the frontman of the band we've all been listening to for 30 years. I'm sure Deano would be flattered that you actually think he has this much power, but I think you're quite naive if you really believe that. Jeff Scott Soto will be accepted by Journey fans or not, based on his talents and connections with the fans. All the free tickets under the sun won't change this fact! I can tell you that I'm a longtime Journey fan who has just not automatically believed that Jeff is the right fit for Journey's music. That said, I'm not going to come onto an internet forum and tell the guy he sucks just because he isn't Perry. I'm going to go to a concert, buy a cd, buy a DVD and form my own opinion. If it turns out that Jeff's range doesn't work on Journey's catalog of music, for my ears, then I probably won't continue to purchase any Journey music that isn't from their back catalog of hits. I still won't come onto this website and tell the guy he sucks or is struggling. The reality is that whether you like Jeff singing Journey's music or not, he has FAR more talent than guys like you and I, who are passing our days posting messages on websites about Journey, instead of making money off of our "struggling" voices! I'm quite sure Jeff is "struggling" each time he walks into his bank to make a deposit from his current tour!

John... Jeff himself obviously feels that its worth posting up here... hence his response to my comment... as for me talking about Deano... you mentioned his name not me. as for his influence here..are u saying its not pretty big?? You only have to read the fawning posts .... bigger the mouth, bigger the fan club I would say.
Reading stuff here, its quite plain to see, that a lot of people simply dont have the reqd confidence or self belief in their own opinions to voice them..so will look for someone like "Deano" to lead them in their views.
Was Deano directly responsible for the outing of Augeri (tapegate) well he once said he was..so if thats not having any kind of influence, I dont know what the fuck is????
Dont underestimate the power of the people!!
peace bro.
as for the "growing some balls" comment... u have obviously never read my back posts,,I have balls the size of Candlestick Field my friend!! and Im not afraid to ejaculate over anyone here!!

I just have a real problem with some cheesedick coming on here constantly stirring the shit pot and trying to sway what people think of a particular person. I'll form my own opinions....and I'm relatively sure the rest of the people here can too.

The guy has a lot of gonads.....

True dat. Only needs the "Ignore" feature to make it perfect.

Hey McNeil...
Do you ever visit Journey's "official website"??? If so, you would appreciate the fact that this place is a "big ole spice pot" (by the way...who the fuck uses the word "ole"). Anyway, I digress...My point is that this website is SUPERB! Kudos to Andrew for making this site one where fans can actually talk openly and intelligently (okay, so it sometimes spirals into less intelligent areas!). Over on Journey's "official website", you can't say shit (literally...they'll give you four asterisks to represent the four letters in shit!) I always thought because it was the fan's "official website", that it was the place to be, which is why I posted over there for almost 6 freakin' years! It just gets to the point where you're tired of having everything you say censored and get tired of reading page after page of old, horny broads lusting after some dude in red leather pants that not one of them could ever get close to! Hell, I think Andrew should have some way to identify these Augeri wiggle weirdos to keep them the hell off of this site, so this site remains about the music of Journey and not about some old, washed up broad's "schoolgirl" crush on "Stevie Awesome". Okay...I'm done with my rant, now!

Hell no.
Know how much comedy we'd be devoid of with that?
