That's pretty impressive. Do you know how ticket sales are going for the October 24th Def Leppard / Journey show?

Well, Seger is a GOD in Michigan, isn't he? He is from Detroit, right?

I believe it's been about 11 or 12 years since Seger has toured. I saw a Seger concert about 15 years ago, and the guy puts on quite a show with a whole lot of classic tunes!

I saw Bob Seger on the "American Storm" tour twice. Excellent show, but that was back in 86.

I'm gonna try to go to his Cincinnati show on November 25th, I think.
Bob Seger is my all time favorite singer/songwriter, I'd love to see him live.
If it was as much of a thrill as my first concert (Journey/Def Lep this year), it's gonna be awesome.

Chevypv: do you know if the second Van Andel show has sold out as well? I'm guessing "yes."
I'm really hoping the next leg of the tour includes a San Diego or Anaheim show, as Seger is one of the very few classic rock "greats" that I have never seen live.
It's my understanding that he's always had a blast playing San Diego. The deluxe edition of his new album includes a bonus DVD which features some live performance clips from a 1978 show here, presumably at the Sports Arena. I just ordered it from a seller on eBay, and can't wait to see/hear that!
;^)

Bob Seger should stick to Chevy commercials. His music is boring and uninspiring. Funerals are more fun.

I'm glad I'm not the only one to feel this way. No offense, but you'd have to pay me a lot of money to walk across the street to see him. One or two of his tunes are alright, but for the most part...ick.

Yeah, Ang, while they're playing, you and I can head to an Aldo show.

Of course, we would need a time machine to accomplish that...

I've gotta defend my boy here.
Seger's music has a sense of uplifting aura to it, a very life-like quality. I've been inspired many times by Seger and find myself awestruck by the simple beauty of his tunes.

I like him, too, but I see where Angie is coming from.

*SIGH*
Wouldn't that just be the best? What I wouldn't give for him to decide, "what the hell" put out a new album and go out for a tour. I'd even travel to Canada for that one!

Just got the info on the second show....here it is
First show sold out in 4 minutes
Second show (added on after first show sold out) sold out in 15 minutes
So, in a total of 19 minutes, they sold 23,000 tickets....
