So I am going to see Warrant and Firehouse on Saturday here in Pittsburgh...
I haven't seen Warrant since Jani "I ate an entire other lead singer" Lane was on vocals...does anyone know if the new guy is any good?

The new cd is pretty good, but don't expect a Jani sound-alike

Saw JSJ in one of his first shows singing with Warrant.

Nothing special at all, truthfully they sound like Warrant with Black 'n Blue's singer.
Not quite the range Jani has (had) and his voice sounded very "nasal". I found them boring.

Firehouse will be good though, so not a total loss.

Jani has been touring lately under the billing "Jani Lane's Warrant", and in some advertising he is billed as "Warrant". Buyer beware.

It's funny that those two bands are touring together again. I saw them close out Red Rocks back in '91. It was a great show!! Sadly, Jani has way too many demons, but he is vital to Warrant IMO. Right now everything I have heard sounds like Warrant has lost it's identity. Are they Warrant or are the Black 'n' Blue? I am sure the guys will put on a great show...I love that Steven and Joey are back (is Joey going to be there, he has had some scheduling problems)? And Jerry and Eric are solid, the true backbone to the band. As for Firehouse, they are tight onstage. And they still sound good. Should still be a good show.

Never got in to Warrant much, but Firehouse is one of my favorites- I'd like to see them live.
