I have to go with Evanescence. I LOVE Amy Lee! The girl has eyes that can see right through ya! The music a bit dark (well they are sort of gothic) but there is something about Evanescene's music that I really like.......

Audioslave (Cornell by the way reminds me of JDouble for some reason) and Stone Temple Pilots....that's pretty much it.

I don't know anything "modern". I'm still doing cassettes in the car. Damn, I feel like Larry
Oh wait, Nickelback, I like them... are they considered "modern"?

Guess I have a weird mix of modern artists I enjoy listening too..from Lifehouse, Michael Buble, Vertical Horizon...no particular theme, just different styles of music. I thank my son and daughter for their influences...

I like Nickelback too. My sister and hubby were in Vancouver last week......and ended up having a couple drinks in the same bar Chad and the boys were in. She said he is a pretty cool guy.
LMAO JGal.......don't feel bad, my 90 Tbird is still cassette too.

The Killers, Orson, Green Day and the Kooks. I like the odd track by these bands, but nobody these days seems to reach me like Journey in their classic period.
I don't WANT to live in the past, but I play albums by 'new' bands and get bored after a few songs.
I blame MTV and all that image over talent stuff.
And Simon Cowell.
Kelly Clarkson can SING, though. So I forgive him.

I'm not a big fan of most of the band's out there today but the ones I am a fan are: 3 Doors Down, Third Eye Blind, Angels And Airwaves, Plus 44, Alter Bridge, Scott Stapp, Goo Goo Dolls, Green Day, and Jimmy Eat World.

Saw him in Vegas back in the mid 90s opening for 7Mary3 at The Joint...
The 2 guitarist had just quit so it was just John on Piano/Acoustic Guitar, a Bass player and Drummer...
INCREDIBLE!!! Thier first album, MESSAGE FOR ALBERT is a MUST! I bought it at that show
As for another new band, I'd like to throw in the band
BREAKING BENJAMIN: Sometimes Heavey but VERY Melodic and catchy as hell.
I highly reccommend thier debut, SATURATE and thier latest, "PHOBIA".

LOVE Collective Soul!! Great in concert, rang in 2003 with them on the campus of Arizona. As a matter of fact, I just was listening to their self titled on the way home this afternoon. They were supposed to play here this fall and cancelled to go back into the studio to finish a new album, so that is good news! I just hope they come back here and play when it's done!
