I just realized something...

...during Faith and LuvsAugeri's verbal sparring match at BT which led to another GF vacation.

Here's something funny, Rich said the official statement says JSS is "temporary". ILuvAugeri posted the statement and it never says "temporary".

Here is the statement: July 6, 2006

JOURNEY FORCED TO MAKE LEAD SINGER CHANGE
ON NATIONWIDE TOUR

Jeff Scott Soto to assume JOURNEY lead singer duties starting on July 7th in Bristow, VA due to Steve Augeri throat infection

July 6, 2006 -- Due to a chronic throat infection, Journey’s lead singer, Steve Augeri, has been forced to leave the band’s current nationwide tour with Def Leppard. Jeff Scott Soto, who has previously performed with Journey guitarist Neal Schon, will assume the band’s lead singer duties starting with the July 7th show in Bristow, VA. Steve Augeri’s condition will be closely monitored by his physician to determine when he may be able to rejoin the tour.

According to Journey, “Steve’s been suffering with an acute throat condition since before we kicked off the tour with Def Leppard. We were hoping he’d be in well condition to handle the rigors of the road but unfortunately it appears to be a chronic condition requiring total voice rest. We all wish Steve a speedy recovery.”

Whether Steve comes back remains to be seen. But if you want to get literal about that statement (which may be "official" but does not necessarily mean it is "fact") than it says JSS is the lead singer of Journey until Steve can come back. So if for some unfortunate reason Steve cannot come back, then that statement already makes it official that JSS is the lead singer of Journey.

It speaks volumes that instead of dealing with the people and the ideas that are "problematic" the simply shut the whole thing down.....

Too late...
Someone took a Hoover to all the "controversial" threads...

Well, since nothing has been "officially" said concerning SA and his health since the first time, it looks like to me that the site over there will be having many "forced" vacations. :D

It may not say it, but it definitely implies that JSS has not replaced him.

Especially here: Steve Augeri’s condition will be closely monitored by his physician to determine when he may be able to rejoin the tour.

Monker, this is why I said it gives room for the unfortunate instance that Steve cannot return. As Faith had pointed out, it does not say 'when Steve CAN return' it says "may be able". I am suddenly realizing that this statement was VERY carefully constructed... It alludes to JSS' "temporary" position without saying it, and it definately gives room for JSS' inclusion to Journey.

Yeeesh.

It says POINT BLANK that his condition will be closely monitored to determine when he may be able to rejoin the tour. How is this "carefully constructed"...?

It doesn't HAVE to "give room" for JSS' inclusion. All these conspiracy and paranoia-type perspectives are just to much.

It goes on to say that they wish SA a speedy recovery.

Maybe if/when his voice recovers the next album title ought to be "RECOVERY".

Let me just say on here too....I did not ever bash Augeri.

I hate to say this and I don't neccessarily like it, BUT if one can't come to the conclusion that Steve Augeri is out, then you are simply not facing reality.

Simply amazing.

Dave28, you of all people KNOW he isn't coming back.

Monker just wants a reason to bitch and defy. Your time is running out, mam.

Fyre- dude, come the fuck on? There is NO way he is returning.

I agree...somewhat.

It's NOT "carefully" worded. It's simply bad english, almost froyspeak. They should have said, "when, or if, he is able to return to the tour."

That leaves room to have it both ways, and it's obvious. What they wrote leaves everybody guessing on what they meant....I think people are starting to read WAY too much into what they DID say.

No, I'm just pointing out the obvious.

As I have said...I don't think it matters much if Augeri comes back or not.

That's what I said about Perry in 1995.

EVERYTHING may point against it, and it may still happen because that is what the BAND wants....NOT YOU.

I know what is happening, YOU don't.

People on this board are starting to figure out that I have news and you have shitforbrains and can't offer up anything...anything of substance.

Answer this:

Why should I care what people on this forum, on any forum, or the internet in general think about me?

And, why do you care SO MUCH about what everybody thinks of you? You seem so vain.

The bottom line is that at this point, I wouldn't put it past Journey to can JSS and bring in Augeri, or Perry, or Chalfant, or Hugo, or Jeremy, or Nora, or You, or Eric Cartman, or Bob Dole. Despite what has been said to you, and what you think you know, Journey hasn't publicly comited to JSS as the new singer. Until they DO comit, any decision they have made behind the scenes can change.

Maybe it will come out in Andrew's interviews...good for him if it does. But, until then, anything can happen.
