Omaha report

Postby lights1961 » Tue Oct 24, 2006 1:34 am

WOW... third time this tour... This time at Qwest Arena in Downtown Omaha a quick 2 hour drive from Des Moines... main floor seats row 26 in the middle... GREAT seats except for the 6'3" guys in front of us taking pics on their damn cell phones ALL fricking concert!! I wonder if they really knew what was going on in front of them??? :) Anyway... Stone Vaughn gets better all the time. Jonathan and him wrote a song together and came out with Ross and the guitarist from Def.. Working Class Man.. (?) I think thats the title.. anyway---Damn Cain is talented!! Stone came out at 715PM.. a little early---but good...Then Neal came out prompt at 730PM....---and the crowd stood for the SBB---I am so amazed everytime!! The way he shreds... god forbid if Neal ever gets arthritist......it would be a very sad day!! Stone In Love started the show... and when JSS came out... I think it took some by suprise even still. He quickly gains momentum though---and through out the show is showing his OWN personality and having a blast running around on stage... Cain moved around a lot!! Neal actually moved... that really suprised us!!
Highlights... Ill Be Alright without you.. JSS you nail it!! Stone In Love WHEEL.. I think Dean had a mini solo after that one.. KILLER!.. Lights, LTS!! Dean sang great on Open Arms and Faithfully always crowd favorites... Escape,Anyway you want it, Dont stop believing, Seperate Ways is the way the show should be closed from here on out!! THE ROOF WAS BLOWN OFF!!!! low lights... tired of Chain Reaction and EITB... would change those if it were up to me to Just the Same way and if time feeling that Way/Anytime... but thats just me. :)

DEF was great...but they seemed a bit tired... used lots of gimmicks fire at the beginning pryos at the end... Love bites sounded much better than previous two times... ALL in ALL I am sad my shows are now offically done until next summer??? if there is more US dates and an eve of just Journey...

PS.. no mention of Augeri.. Just Jon introducing JSS.... MORE proof to MYSELF that JSS is now the new lead singer of Journey
