That's a Hall of Fame Class?

Van Halen is the only one I can see.

Grandmaster Flash? They're considered R&R? :?

Van Halen and all concerned, deserve it. Hope they make it.

I can see Van Halen and even the Ronettes .. I have a weak spot for "Be my.be my baby" and after all Ronnie (the 'Ron' in ronettes) is Phil Spector's ex-wife. And even tho Phil is currently a guest of the State of California for murder he is still a member of the Executive Committee and a voting member of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Foundation.

go figure.

Just for the record, Phil Spector...crazy MF that he is...has not yet been convicted of anything. He is free on bail until his trial starts in Jan 2007.

His contribution to RnR, IMO, is undisputed, and he has every right to have a vote.

Once again,the critics have spoken.
The RRHF is a total joke!!Thank God that VH is in there!!
Maybe a RRHF induction will be the reason they tour with Roth.
By the way Patti Smith and REM blow!!

Wonder what's keeping Journey out? Maybe the blatant accusations, of the use of tapes for lead vocals, by an ardent fan will screw them over for good. Good job guys! There had to be a better way to accomplish what you wanted done.

Classic Journey was what counted and what still counts today. The should let the guys involved in and consider the rest, just a bad dream.

Their last eight years of being nothing more than a nostalgia act coupled with the disgrace of being caught taping their lead vocals has damaged their chances for many years to come, IMO.

A fuckin'1....The Ronettes and REM are fuckin' way better than VH.....VH is one fuckin' big embarrassment to the music industry..are they aren't they, is he pissed, isn't he, fuckin' wasters and as for DLR who I loved some 20 years ago, crinkly old fucker not worthy of a reunion. Hall of fame what a total waste of time but Ronettes never rock them for being nominated, they're pure gold as is Phil Spector, but gun ownership and the American way fucked him up good style

You smelly bitch.

Blame ME, "the Blogger" for Journey NOT getting in? Don't blame Steve fucking Perry, who considered a 7 year worklife sufficient.

It's as much Perry's fault, and the hate towards him, as it is mine. In fact, go fuck yourself. I am hardly the reason they aren't inducted. Because of you, I hate what I have become on this Board. Full of hate and vile, and it is ALL deserved by the way.

IMO, if it's anybody's fault, besides the jerk-offs that made up that list, it would have to be the band. But no, Deano, not Steve fucking Perry. Yes, he made a decision to quit after '7' years, but Journey decided to move on without him. In fact, they wouldn't even be in consideration if it weren't for those 7 years. Certainly what has recently transpired is hurting them. NOT YOUR FAULT! All you did was expose it for what it was and cause them to stop deceiving the fans. Who knew what is immaterial at this point, JOURNEY was on the stage. Guilt by association, and all that shit.

I'm sorry you hate what you've become. As someone who didn't know "Rockin' Deano" before tapegate, I see even now what an incredible fan you are. You definitely make this place come alive. Keep it up!!!

Now...can you at least try to be a little less vulgar????

That Hall of Fame is run by a bunch of hippies from Rolling Stone. Arena/AOR Rock is frowned upon by those elitist pricks. Half the inductees haven't even been 'rock" acts.

My class would include: Journey, Alice Cooper, Kiss, Cheap Trick and Deep Purple for starters.

Donna! Dean is much nicer now than what he used to be like before his tapegate drama. He had a "Dean Team" that loved his vulgarity and still does, to a lesser degree.

Happily reaping, thank you.

PS- I would like to sew your mouth shut, so A) I wouldn't have to smell your breath, B). couldn't hear your yappity voice, and C), so you couldn't balloon up to 400 lbs.

Deano, do not lay this on Steve's shoulders i do think there was others in the band. And for whatever reason he is no longer there is his.Journey was the very best 80's and they went on without Steve. I do agree that journey should be in there hell it should have been done a long time ago. And i know that deep down you are a good man. You know Steve, said it best life is life can we just let the past go and bring on a new day?

If you're happily reaping, you shouldn't hate what you've become, but should be enjoying your imfamy.

I posted my picture last week on the pic of us thread. Any could see that I am hardly overweight. Maybe someone here saw the pictures. Maybe not. They were up for about 15 min.

Insult all you want, Dean. I'll respond and act indigent whenever you get it right.

Give me a fucking break? Why can't we just tell it like it is? Perry was an asshole to be sure. The 9 years or so produced amazing music and astonishing numbers, but Jesus Christ, those years took other years off Neal's and Friga's lives, and I am sure Perry's too. Perry was hard to get along with at best, BUT......if they could get through those years, he (Perry), should have stayed a few more. It's not like he was being enslaved in a truck drivers' job, a meat packing plant, a bartender job or even fucking around on MR while pretending to work in a cubicle, which half of the people do here. Yeah, tons of coke, tons of smoke, hot chicks, fat wallets, whatever...Such a terrible lifestyle.

The RnR HOF committee has never liked Perry, period. A lot of journalists didn't like Perry. I am willing to bet he is the main reason, along with Open Arms, that Journey is despised in music writers' minds. I say fuck em, but the truth is they hold the keys to Cleveland.

Deano, i know you are a smart man I feel sure that MrP, was a pain in the ass but we all can be that way. And whatever he did when he was in the such as drugs & whatever says there.I do not care to know about it. But what do care about is him he is a human being just like the rest of us.Do you really think the others was a day at the park? I just bet you that sock boy was a horses ass but it dose not take away that boy could play and i think he is better than most. Oh but sorry we was talking about Mr P here i feel one way and you feel the other and we will not change how we feel.So you going feeling the way you want to but i know in my heart that Mr P is a great man & not the way you think he is. So with that i am off my soap box & will not say anything else.

P.S.

You can call me anything you want to i don't care.I know who i am and how i feel.So do what ever you think is best.I am takeing the high road just like Mr P.That is the better way to go.Stop and think about that.
I still like & think you are a cool guy.hehe

Yeah sockboy is just that not much below the old belt .I was told that is why he would put socks there to look bigger.lololol
Sweetie there will be no issues here. As i said i feel one way and you feel the other way.So just let it stay there.
I do not know Neal and do not want to.
