Looks like the band is becoming more and more open with information when doing interviews. I have said before and will say again I feel Andrew deserves fully to be the guy to announce the big stuff. My suggestion would be to go ahead and make the major announcements soon, before it gets all over the national media. And in the meantime continue finishing the other stockpile of info. he has. While most of here know what is going to be said, a lot of people do not get on this forum, and it will be major news to some. Certainly not trying to tell Andrew how to handle this. He does just fine on his own. Just suggesting another possibility. Don't let 'em steal your thunder my friend!!

Only a suggestion. Andrew knows what he's doing. It just seems to be leaking out pretty good now.

I don't see it being major news on the national media level, certainly not now when it's election time in the U.S. There's far too much mud-slinging going on in politics to worry about a band that hasn't had a hit record in 10 years. If the news earlier in the summer didn't make much of a ripple, then anything said in the interviews with Andrew, probably won't be big news either.

I see what your saying, and I cannot say I don't agree. I would just like for Andrew, who just spent a great trip and time with the band, to get his due on this. I am simply saying he worked hard on getting to the US, getting these interviews, getting to spend valuable and I'm sure very enjoyable time with the band, and I would love to see ANDREW be the one to give the 'official' news. Not some reporter who probably still thought Perry was with the band. That's all I meant. Andrew worked hard for this, and he deserves his due.

Andrew, I agree with what is on other threads. You have been gone a while, and deserve the rest and time with your family. You certainly know how to handle this better than I. I hope I have not offended you on anything I have said. I just want YOU to get your due on this. You have spent a lot of time and effort on this. Time away from your family and everything else. Just don't let some knucklehead beat you to the punch. MOST of us here appreciate everything you do. Take care buddy.

I agree jrnysc. I'd say though that Andrew's interviews and reporting will be seen and taken in by more people than any news article somewhere else will be.

I've been a fan of MR.com since pretty much when it opened. I've seen news and other things here, that I've never seen anywhere else but "official" sites. And as we know, most of the time, it's here before the offical places post it. He's a great PR guy.

Yep. Another good point. Didn't think about that either. Andrew is a master at rock music PR. And, I don't think the band is doing anything on purpose. I would imagine they just want to get this behind them. We all know Andrew will release this before the 'official' site does. And, it should be that way. Andrew has been a good friend of these guys for a long time. We also know Andrew has TONS of info. noone else has. I would just like to see him get his dues and get the word out before many other cities do. I do agree with you. Not many people will see/pay attention to the info. anyway. I also want to say what I said before was NOT a knock on Perry. I have just seen before babbling bafoons in the media who still thought Perry was with the band. Andrew deserves this. That is all I was trying to say. One last thing. THIS is the kind of casual conversation I like to see here. Thanks for the replies, and a different point of view.
