2007 JRNY tour what LP to concentrate on besides new music

Postby lights1961 » Sat Nov 04, 2006 2:14 am

ESCAPE LP tribute has gone on long enough... which LP would you love to see Journey concentrate on for 2007--- I for one would love a tribute with the Evolution LP.. 5-6 songs would be heaven... Just the Same way... LTS with Cith of Angeles. Too Late, Lovin You is Easy, etc any other suggestions??

The LP I would like them concentrate on for 2007 would be (drum roll)...the NEW one that hasn't been produced yet! :D

But I agree, if they're going to concentrate on music from the past, switching it up would be great. "Do You Recall" as well as "Lovin' You Is Easy" would be two that I would appreciate hearing live.

Evolution is probably my all time favorite- that or departure... how about both?

More deep cuts from Evolution and Departure would be awesome.

However, I would also LOVE to see
songs like Suzanne (w/ Deeno singing), Send Her My Love, Rubicon, Patiently,
La Do Da (with Deen and Ross solos ala Captured-style), DIXIE HIGHWAY...

Hell, how many of you out there are like me and could
easily see Jeff's solo tune "Believe In Me" re-recorded by the band, with some melodies and riffs from Jon and The Whale added in, as a cut/single on a new Journey album???
That song already has a great classic-Journey feel!
Add in some even bigger harmonies from Jeff, Deen, Neal and Jon and, HOLY SHIT!,
INSTANT AOR Classic!!!

Is it obvious that I haven't been able to get that song outa my head for the past 2 months? :D

I think I'd rather hear a sampling from all the albums but most definitely something from TBF. Preferably Easy To Fall and Don't Be Down on Me.

Trial By Fire.

Pull Message of Love, One More and When I Think of You out live, and cut some dead weight (Who's Cryin' Now, Keep on Runnin', Any Way You Want It). There's a lot of the Journey catalog people haven't heard. If someone hears a song live that they like, they figure out what album it's on and go buy it.

I know, I've done it.

Everyone has Escape.

Either that or for God's sake play some stuff off Arrival. I'd love to hear JSS do With Your Love or Nothin' Comes Close

"Believe in Me" is a great tune. Reminds me ever so slightly of "To Be Alive Again" off of Arrival.

I agree Lori. Both are awesome tunes.

Other things Journey should concentrate on: Jeff should ALWAYS at every show go topless for at least 10 minutes. Anyone w/me?

Evolution is one of my favorites, Lovin you is easy, When your alone, Daydreamer,Too late. Bring back People and Places and some more Departure/Infinty tunes. Also use Majestic as the opener. Would love to hear the Partys Over, One More. Believe in Me would be great also.

Well, I would love to say Raised On Radio but I don't believe that album is even worth hearing without Perry's voice. What Augeri did to "Be Good To Yourself" was just embarrassing and unlistenable (I will say that JSS managed to redeem that one for me though - good job dude).

So I am going to go with Departure. And throw a little bit more Evolution in there for good measure.
