Had to jump in & inform a bit...this is like watching a reality show that has 3 days of footage edited to 30 minutes...only the silly bits were put in to make it seem the whole gig was like that. Yes, it was an acoustic gig (in Sao Paolo, Brazil) which I hate because they remind me of coffee house gigs that are taken so seriously but I only agreed to do it if we could just have fun, with covers, drinks & audience silliness included. Sure we had plenty of those Caipiroskas (& trust me when I tell you now, NO ONE makes em properly except the Brazilians...we took a crash course that night & my solo band are all expert caipi bartenders now!) but they're so loaded with sugar, you can literally drink 20 & you just don't get drunk, nuts, since it's ALL vodka!
Honestly, we drank as many as we did because the temparature in that hell hole was about 104 (that's over 40 for your Europeans) degrees onstage! But as many as we drank, the gig was actually quite good & unfortunately you're only getting the goofball moments, we all stumbled...I mean walked off that stage just fine when we were done!
As you can tell, the crowd were digging it that we went the fun route instead of the Joan Baez highway...just making sure you don't think I actually drink alcohol all the time or anything!!!
