Stupid tape gate discussion

Jesus, when will Journey get over their paranoid communist mentality about communication??? No news about a sick lead singer in four months, now Andrew can't release interviews this week as promised (surprise)! I love the hell out of Journey music, but I have to say on a personal level they begin to disgust the hell out of me. Get over yourselves Journey! Quit being a bunch of paronoid control freaks, and quit hiding so much! Do you think it will even matter? Just be honest!

Journey isn't the one gunking up the works.
It's a soon-to-be ex-member that is strangulating the boys coffers and nickel and diming them to death!

Steve Augeri- u are a crookedy nosed guido punk.

Get over urself and give Jeff the same chance the boys generously gave u back in 1998.

So that's what's been holding things up? I've been waiting with baited breath to see who's "getting egg on their face", as we've been told!

Oh come on. It's not him. It's the lawyers. Once they get involved everything takes forever. Try getting divorced w/lawyers involved. Yuck.

Augeri is that gutsy? His time with Journey may not go without notice after all. I see a book in the making.

and well he should if that is the case. Eight years and a character assination is worth quite a bit of money these days. More likely, THEY are trying to nickle and dime him to accepting less than what he deserves for being run into the ground and nearly destroyed. what did Neal think this would be easier than his three divorces and his big divorce from Perry????!

you people don't realize that this is just going to happen to Jeff in way less than 8 years.

Jeff and Neal saved him from a world of menial labor, gave his music career a second wind and made his dreams a reality.

Journey didn't character assassinate anyone.
No, they didn't speak up on his behalf, but then again, neither did Steve himself.

It would never happen.
If Jeff lost his voice he would step down.

Yeah, really. Just ask Perry. He's the 1st ex-wife getting the big-ass alimony payments.

Now Journey is getting divorced again. I hope JSS asks for a pre-nup.

Steve was quite happy with his life as it was. Yes it was a second chance that anyone would have jumped at. But I'm sure he expected after all this time a lot more respect from the men he referred to as "brothers" on many occassions.

It went down all wrong. They should have let him go before the European tour if things were that bad. They all did the wrong thing and should all take the blame. You yourself have said this many times...why the sudden change?

I haven't changed my position on them all being guilty.

I thought we were discussing the drawn-out delay in the official announcement.

Ok just curious. And since they are all guilty then they should all suffer through the supposed strangulation. Seems fitting.

Halting the band from announcing the lead singer change in a quick painless fashion serves no purpose in vindicating Steve Augeri.
It only hurts his fans and fans of the band.

Yessir just like they handled the change from Perry to Augeri so smoothly back in the day.

Bottom line it's management who couldn't give a rat's ass about the fans. And more than likely management and their lawyers who continue to play the tug of war with Augeri and his people.

Wasn't that a toast made at ur 55th birthday regarding a woman someday actually blowing ur didgeridoo?

I am starting to wonder if we will EVER read the interviews and/or know the truth.

No offense to you, Andrew, you are doing everything you can.

I, too, am beginning to lose intrest in this whole thing called the Journey Proper, and feel a bit jilted as well.

Wrong.. 45, and yep we lost...but Bush shakes the hand of Pelosi... with class! Not crying, whining, hiring lawyers to find some votes from the dead guys...like 2000. 2002, 2004... Bush told it like it was... **we got a whoopin** And Iam saying I was off and wrong... I thought we would hold onto the majority---so now its time to work smarter for 2008... Maybe its time for another contract FOR AMERICA 2008 and beyond.... ala 1994---Just have to get the right PR and the right man/woman for the job to sell it.

and intellgent at the end with the faggot response... typical liberal response when you dont have anything nice to say...

back on topic now..

& u know it went down all wrong how? U have an inside source? Pray tell.

Steve could also have stepped down before the Euro tour u know. He was, after all, the one who couldn't sing anymore. The rest of the band were still able to play their instruments & sing.

Who/Whatever it is - it's getting annoying beyond belief. If I'm not mistaken Andrew previously said that he had the "green light" and now it appears that it's turned yellow again!!!

Just annoying.

Our democracy is worth fighting for and ensuring that every last vote is counted.
If George "Macaca" Allenowitz belived the VA election results required a recount than he should've demanded one.
There is no shame in that.
