I've been to a few concerts lately. Some of the things I saw done are things I think Journey could do.
1. Hall & Oates sells a soundboard recording of the show. It's available for sale on their site the day after the concert. I bought one. It's so cool to have a recording of the show u attended. This also discourages boot trading somewhat. After all, who wants an audience boot if u can have a soundboard recording? With Jeff at the helm, Journey's vocals are now strong enough for this idea to work. Sell 'em for $15 or $20. Make them affordable. I suspect many people would buy them. Heck, give a coupon for $3 off if ur concert review is approved to go "live" on the site. That would encourage positive reviews of the shows too.
2. Toto led out last nite w/2 new songs. No one in the audience seemed to mind altho it was obvious that most there weren't familiar w/the songs & only knew the classics. It gave a nice taste of their new music early on in the show & still allowed them to save the older classic hits for later in the show.
Just my ideas....
