can we expect a new cd in 2007 and a tour... would you want to do a strenous tour for 2007, for example like
Bob Seger is planning... 2nd part... any more plans for a dvd release of the frontiers tour or ROR tour...

Hey...could the questions be about ANYthing or ANY "time period"...or should we just concentrate on the "here 'n' now"?

I have a :?: ~ but it's about something a long time ago....don't wanna look stupid

I think they can be about anything... (I can't imagine a question of yours being stupid.)

But, I think questions are more likely to be answered if they're about the re-issues.

Why don't you ask one of each to "hedge your bet"?

I wonder if anyone sent Steve Perry a good soundboard of Jeff with the band and if he'll make a comment....?? Did anyone send in a question re: Jeff to Steve?

I was just wondering that myself, but also wondering how I could word a question like that to make it unique enough to be considered. "Whatdya think of JSS" sounds kinda boring. What about, "Would you ever consider collaborating with JSS and Journey on a new song????"

Any other ideas?

Oh yeah...I'd be willing to bet Steve Perry has heard JSS sing 'his' songs...

You know, Jeff has told the story of when he met SP for the first time. He talked to Steve and told him about an accapella tune he did that was a kinda tribute to Perry and Sam Cooke (I think). Perry gave him his number and asked Jeff to give him a copy but Jeff lost the number or washed it in his pants  But he met Perry again awhile later, Perry remembered him AND bought the disc on his own to hear Jeff... I think Jeff was 'very proud' of Perry's positive review.
With that said, I think Perry STILL hates that Journey is still rolling on w/o him (and not retired) but he probably is pleased with the way things are going for the band now with Jeff. You KNOW he is paying attention from afar. Hopefully hearing about this 're-energized' Journey lights a fire under his ass to go out and do something. His ego has got to be screaming at him everyday in the mirror,
"DUDE, YOU COULD DO THAT SHIT 20 TIMES BETTER!!! YOU GOT THE PIPES! YOU GOT THE SWAGGER!
CLIMB BACK UP ON THAT HARLEY AND RIIIIIDE!"

I've read that post from JSS too. I happen to believe Steve is arrogant (and I don't mean that in a bad way) enough that he may perceive any good press for Journey is still good press for him, and likewise anything that reflects negatively on Journey reflects negatively on him. And it kinda makes sense, given how many people still cannot separate SP from Journey, even 8-10 years later.

And I hope you're right...perhaps this 'spark' will be what it takes for him to realize that he can still contribute valuable stuff to those of us who still love him. I'm waiting patiently, meanwhile enjoying what I'm hearing from the rest of the boys!!!! 8)
