OT - Missed it by THAT much!

Postby fred_journeyman » Thu Nov 16, 2006 7:59 am

I hope you folks don't mind if I post this important message about Maxwell Smart's return...in the form of DVDs. The reason I post this here is because many of us grew up on Get Smart, so this may be of interest to you.

Time-Life is offering the ENTIRE series of Get Smart in one swell swoop - 25 discs in all as a pre-release, starting today. They will only be available through Time-Life until Fall of 2007 when they will then be available in other retail outlets. Cost is $199.95 and I couldn't wait to pre-order mine.

Just thought some of you might want to know about this show. It's one that I've been waiting for to hit the DVD market for a number of years.

Yeah, it was a great show. Apparently, there are quite a few special features on the discs too, including the gag reel.

That show was so far ahead of it's time. If anyone wants to buy NIGGY a Christmas present, there you go.

I need those DVDs.

Now if only The Goodies did the same thing, I'd be back in my teens once again for ever :)

The Goodies is one of the very best shows ever....British trio that creatured 10 years worth of shows that were some of the best satirial, funniest, stupidest TV ever.

They HAVE to be checked out:

And if you are into Torrent file downloading, try an episode or two:

Holy Cow, THAT show looks extremely funny!! I rarely see anything from the Brits that isn't great! It may take me a while to get the humor, but they do wonderful shows.

Man, I'm with you, I would LOVE to see that show.

I'll have to check with my son about the torrent thing - he's a wiz at that stuff.

The humour is an aquirted taste, but is brilliant at the same time. Very politically incorrect and a lot of stuff deals with politicalissues of the day, plus it is a little dated with their appearance (show ran 1969-1980-ish)...but still laugh my ass off at it today.
