Hey all...

Listening to the "Missing You - Writing Session" right now...

Steve makes a reference of how to "get out" of the phrase, "My heart's in your safe-keeping..."

He says he doesn't want to make it too "Orange County".

HAH? :?

Help out a CT chick here....8)

Orange county is just south of Los Angeles county, in southern California. Is that what you were after?

OK...

But why would someone want something to NOT sound "Orange County"?

What does that mean...."corny"?

I live in Northern California, and I have no clue what Steve is referring to. It must be a Southern California thing...... :D

Maybe he wanted it to sound more for the average person - street lingo - and the phrase "safe-keeping" is not a phrase that is used every day.

So maybe he means cheesy...there's something fake about suburbia...perfect yet not real..phony?

There's still time to ask Steve another question!

All I know is that is the most expensive county in So Cal or maybe even on the west coast. And, Disneyland is there. That's funny how then the t.v. show "O.C." then went on to have a character who loved Journey!

I think that the key word is "safe". OC was and is a very security conscious county.
