Did anyone attempt to get a PS3 last nite!?
I heard there were chaos all over the country, includin a guy gettin shot!
Sad thing is 80% of the people who waited in lines for days , were just buying them to make a profit on ebay.
I noticed most of them at Ebay now ending between $5000-$8000, one sold for $15200!!! ( MSRP $599 !!! )

Hey Donny, the only games I play are on the mobile and they come free, I give Sony enough money buying CD's! Same old game consol, different shape and as per usual you have to buy PS3 games as PS2 games wont play on it, at £40 a pop..way to go Sony you greedy bastards

Luckily for us, the kid wants an Xbox this year, the serious gamers tool or so I'm told

Don't know how much it costs yet but if it's over £50 he's getting walnuts and oranges with a wooden train, that'll teach him values, and if he's lucky he can use my mobile and play for free

Anyway it's wine night be back later

My husband tried to get one last night at Target. He got there relatively early and by 10pm there was 150 people for 10 ps3's.

They had tickets given to them and they drew them lottery style. So he had like a .0000001% of getting one. LOL!
I told him it was a waste of time and not to bother but he didnt listen.

It was sposed to be a Christmas present for our daughter, it's a shame people are out to make a buck off them.

If I had one I would have no problem selling it to the highest bidder. That's the american way at Christmas time.

LOL! She already has a ps2.
No biggie, just more money to buy on other stuff instead. I'll just wait a couple months when the demand isn't as high.

I heard there were only going to be 400,000 put into production, I'm not sure if that is intially or all together. I just don't get the whole hub bub. People are paying sickening amounts of money for something that is going to be obsolete in a year! Then there is Sony...how can a company who has been around forever not SEE that if they just made MORE of these stupid things, all that money would go in THEIR pockets.
Just something else for people to use as an excuse to sit their asses on the couch and not get out and have a real life.

My daughter doesn't know much about PS3 yet. She's getting a refurbished xbox for Christmas. My mom and MIL are buying a used system for her. She's 6--she doesn't need a $600-dollar anything! We just bought a new tv, and so we're doing the tv shuffle in our house. We're not even going to put an old tv in her bedroom. Are we mean, or what? We don't think she should have a tv in her room yet. We're putting an old one in the guest room, and her xbox will be hooked up to that.
I would never camp out for a game system for myself. I would probably do it for my daughter though when she's older.

400,000 was for the U.S. by Xmas, they say. With 6 million total by March of next year, YEAH RIGHT! I really don't care much about the PS3, other than the fact that it's a bit more updated and it has a Blue-Ray DVD player in it, (where standalone BR players are going for around $1000), with a hard drive to store game info on. But I won't be buying one. Heck, I still have a PS1 around here. If I want to play games, I'll go to my cousins house.

Nope... that's not mean. My daughter is 11 and still dont have a TV in her room. She plays her video games on the TV in the living room.
I think my husband used the "Christmas present" excuse cause he wanted it too.

Pretty soon it won't be called Christmas anymore. It's too offensive. If you don't like it, leave the country.
The PS3 is a turd. I have read some beta blogs, and not all of the games will work. They have problems with audio not playing, etc.

I get the feeling the PS3 isn't really as bad as a relatively few people are making it out to be. Ok so audio doesn't play on some older PS1 games, or something is wrong with the occasional PS2 game, or there's only 6 games REALLY for the PS3, but so what? Ok, so SONY pretty much promised that EVERY game from PS1 & 2's would work, but even they can't put out a perfect product all the time. People got their hopes up, on an overhyped machine. Anyone who goes apeshit over a videogame system and put it as a priority over say um, REAL LIFE, should probably sit back and think about things for a while.
Then again, the Wii looks to be a pretty decent machine of the 2 new units, and cheaper too. The 360 has the advantage and really there are games out that are ONLY for that syustem now, because the other's lagged so far behind.
Gimme my Atari 2600 and Journey Escape game, anyday of the week.

Could give a rats ass about a PS3.
You are offended by Christmas?

I could never get into "gaming". The games look stunning, and I like watching people play, but they seem to take too long to learn.
Give me my Atari 2600 emulator and I'm a happy camper.

I think the Nintendo Wii (release date 11/19) is a better way to go
Priced at $249. With a new Legend Of Zelda game available at launch, this system is a must have for all old school gamers

Low D was talking about the whiners that don't like the word "CHRIST"mas because of it's Christian background.
They'd rather you say "Happy Holidays" because the word CHRISTMAS hurts thier Poor Wittle Feelings...
These are the same AssClowns that wnat to take the word GOD out of the Pledge and off of all our Money...
Pathetic...
Reminds me of some folks here

I personally can't stand console games. Give me FPS (first person shooter) games on a PC anytime.
They are so much easier to learn to play on.

I like first-person shooting too. But not indoors on the couch, staring at a screen for hours on end. I do my shooting in the real woods, with real firearms, that really kill large wild animals. Can't get much more "realistic graphics" than that. Plus I get fresh air and exercise.
Outside of hunting season, give me my old Atari 2600 and my Adventure game.

You're not mean, just a great parent...values mean more than money can ever buy and your daughter will turn out to be a perfect person. We have an only Son and fuck we used to buy him this that and anything new, he's changed, we've changed and he's such a great kid now. You know he gave his pocket money last month to an animal rescue centre....wish he'd gave it to dad's rescue centre..a six pack it would have bought. Seriously I'm proud of him. Well that's me away for a minute, he has this fasination with eye of tiger, every time I get pissed he puts in on and asks me to do that street walk, off I go
