No, here is the difference between the two forums.

This place has balls.

The "other place" doesn't.

The difference I see between the two forums is BT doesn't allow you to say anything negative about the band without being jumped on by their posse and then having the message deleted or locked by their admins and you being warned about starting negative comments about the band, while hear as long as you don't attack anyone or bait anyone you can actually voice your opinion. When I said I saw Journey earlier this year and said Augeri sucked and couldn't bring it anymore people said I was nuts and was attacked, didn't get that much here, but people weren't as delusional here as they are over there. If the band took a crap and told BT it smelled like roses they'd believe them, here if the band took a crap and said it smelled like roses, these guys believe it still smells like crap

If by "Class", you mean page after page after page of mindless bullshit postings and a group of mods who think their place in the world is far more significant than it is, then I'll agree with you! Incidentally, if that's your definition of class, then you can keep it! I also find it incredibly ironic that some moron from backtalk is over here spewing this nonsense and then talking about how much "class" BT has! Get a life!

I was a member of BT for a very long time, and I will never take part in anything over there again, until a single one of those mods grows a backbone and actually allows intelligent dialogue, even once, and does away with all the old battle axe, Augeri crotch sniffing posts that permeate that poor excuse for a band's "official" website. I can tell you that as a person who has been a hardcore fan of Journey since 1978, I am personally offended that my favorite band allows their official website to be run the way it is!

Still don't get the mutual obsession. They're Jrny fans, we're Jrny fans yet peeps here hate peeps there and vice versa.

I guess it's the same reason a lot of Journey/Augeri and Journey/Perry fans couldn't get along before JSS came on board. I never completely understood that either, but once the lines are drawn most people tend to take their stance on one side or the other to some degree. :?

Well in fairness to BT - I put a post on that said essentially "JSS - great frontman but can't hit the notes, let's hope Augeri recovers before UK tour next year." They pulled that one so realistically you'd have to say that BT just back the band regardless of the situation. Whereas on MelodicRock you can spout any delusional garbage and get a compliment for it. BT back the band, MR - anything goes...

I don't need to defend BT or MR, simply message boards  . I do; however, take offense to your comments regarding Jeff's ability. Jeff does hit the notes, no doubt there. Have you been to a show? A live show? It is unfortunate for Augeri that his vocal ability has diminished to the point it has, and as Journey fans we are fortunate that Jeff Scott Soto is up to the task at hand, very fortunate. The set list has changed a little and surprises are possible now. You are right, BT does support Journey- the band and Jeff is the lead singer of Journey. There is a forum to pine over the past members and I'm sure Augeri will be kept alive there just as other past members are. Just curious, what do you find to be "delusional garbage?"

Delusional - "Jeff does hit the notes". No haven't seen JSS live - will seem next year when JRNY back in UK. However, have three boots of JRNY/JSS and he hasn't got the same range as Augeri and certainly not Perry. Am not saying that's a bad thing necessarily - you have the same sort of A-B comparisons with Ozzy vs Dio vs Gillan in Sabbath or Collins vs Gabriel in Genesis - they're different animals. However, in my opinion (which ain't worth a bean) Augeri had a superior range to JSS. That's my opinion - I have the right to it and the right to change it when JSS comes to the UK next year with Journey.

Of course you've not been to a show, if you had you would not be saying what you are about Jeff's ability. I can't even begin to debate this with you as I have a feeling you are delusional when it comes down to the reality of lead singers.

My first instinct was to say, "you must be blind, deaf or dumb then", but that would be shameless. Augeri put on a good show (when I saw him several years ago), JSS puts on a great show, and Steve Perry is the ultimate!!!

I think it all comes down to this...more often than not, what we seek, we will find. Unfortunately our preconceived notions sometimes clouds the truth.

I'm not attacking you, it's just been a long weekend...
