Am I saying Augeri is a bad writer? No as I did like Live and Breathe, To Be Alive Again, All The Way, and We Will Meet Again from Arrival.

My biggest complaint with Augeri was he had no stage presence when I saw him, totally sucked the last time I saw the band live because his voice was totally dead (6-30-06), and the singing behind backing tapes really ruined his reputation in my eyes and if he were to come back to Journey as vocalist, they're losing me as a fan.

OK, this is not my fight, and not my business, but I just can't sit here and say nothing!

Generations is complete shit. Neal, though he won't admit it, was probably embarrassed. Hell, he wasn't there for ANY of the sessions. Minus Perry, sorry Friga, he's basically lyrically talentless. Soto WILL provide the much needed spark...I hope. Augeri is like Tickner in Journey lore....irrelevant. Just a fact.

I have to agree, Butterfly is a pretty lame song.

I guess it depends on what you mean by stage presence... When I saw Journey with SA (several years ago - definitely pre-TG) he did a fairly decent job. But what I recall thinking was, "Gosh, he REALLY IS like Steve Perry". In some of the clips I've seen he interacted with the fans down front pretty well. I didn't know anything about the 'wiggle' at that time, and to be honest, even the phrase "Augeri wiggle" sounds gay. To be fair, the "Stevie shuffle" isn't much better...

Now, if you mean by stage presence someone who makes your thighs quiver...then Soto's your guy. And I won't even begin to mention what Steve Perry does...

Donna, what a shameless woman u are....my,my,my,my, in all fairness, when i saw SA in Nov, 2005 in Nyrtle Beach he did perform really well and interacted with the audience, even sang well and i enjoyed the show...however after coming here and finding out about TG, well I feel I was cheated considering i flew Cindy and Jennifer down to SC and bought 4* tix for the three of us, didn't offer 5* that night.. Yeah, and SP does it for me too, there is just something about him...loved the Stevie shuffle too...Now to our JSS, talk about stage presence...he has it all.....

The times I've saw Journey Augeri has pretty much stood in the middle of the stage and sang his parts and moved like Drew Bledsoe does on the football field-with nails in his feet for little movement. I saw JSS with Soul SirkUS at the Crock Rock in Allentown on a small stage and the man own that stage. I guess I'm saying when I saw Augeri he didn't have much if any charisma

What is incredibly retarded is saying somebody is incredibly retarded for LIKING A SONG. "Butterfly" is just as 'well written' as anything prior to Jonathan joining the band.

The songs that should NEVER have had the Journey name on it are: "Every Generation" - a Jonathan solo song. "Self Defense" - a Schon/Hammer song, and "Gone Crazy" - some kinda cross between Van Halan, ZZ Top and Damn Yankees.
