Because of that, I'll be the first to jump in to defend myself! I can assure you that I am far from a "troll" and every bit of the Journey fan that you claim to be. Oh, whatever. Put me in a different environment and I adapt. I admin a non-Journey forum elsewhere and I never have to lock anything. I just take BT for what it is, that's why I'm there. It's not that hard to play by the rules if you have some self-control...

For the record Sarah, I always played by the rules, and left on my own volition. I absolutely agree that everyone has to "play" by the stated rules. When I learned the only thing that ever happened on BT were pages of moronic "I love Stevie Awesome" threads, I picked up my toys, and found a new home! I just wish my favorite band would encourage a better forum for its fans. I still hold out a glimmer of hope that the guys in Journey will change things over there, but I'm not holding my breath, as someone told me that oxygen was vital for sustenance!

Well, I agree with this. If they do prefer the environment here so much, I can't figure out why they wouldn't make their own site match it. If it;s that embarrassing to them as some people here insist... don't they realize THEY hold the reins? Oh, well.

Well...I can KINDA understand the lack of cussing and stuff like that on the OFFICIAL board...but it's all the mindless threads that get me. It's a cheerleading camp with virtually NO room for criticism. The band doesn't need to hear "Everything you do is perfect"...they need to hear "well...that was cool...but how about ____". Or something of the like. Honesty is key.

Bingo!!!! I agree 100% that Journey absolutely needs to police their "official" website a bit more, in terms of offensive language. Also, I can completely understand admonishing someone who visits that site, with no other purpose, other than to say everyone in Journey sucks. I get all of that and always have. That said, there is NOTHING wrong with constructive criticism (which simply isn't allowed there), and it can even be interesting to read another person's perspective. As much as I think Generations is awful, I still read the other opinions from others who actually think it's a good CD.

A web forum is completely useless if it doesn't relflect the "real world", even a little! Not everyone agrees about everything in the real world, so it's ludicrous to think it's going to happen on ANY website! Even if they could just get rid of all of the "Let's hear it for our man Stevie Awesome" threads, it would at least make the environment over there somewhat tolerable! For the record, I would feel no different if those threads were addressed towards Perry or JSS. Most people who visit a band's website simply don't care to read this mindless crap, day after day, after day, and it's too bad the mods over there and the band simply don't have a clue about that!
