In honor of Santo Deano

Postby Jeremey fan forever » Wed Nov 22, 2006 11:28 am

Dear Journey brothers and Sisters,

In honor of Santo Deano and the new direction direction he is leading us, I would like to make a suggestion if Santo Deano will give it his blessings. I propose that each person here who is not banned from doing so, should say just one kind word to those over there who we may have harmed in the past. This is maybe the best way to heal the old bitterness.

If this works, I would like to suggest that the healing message of Journey be sent out all over the world as a force for good, and peace. With Christsmas only a month away, what a beautiful, very special gesture. :)

Hey, I am all for fun, God knows that. I am just saying, and I am being 100% forthright too, let's treat Back Talk and their members with some respect. They are fans too.

Yeah, we can still party and fart and tell dick jokes, but on MR, can we not not bash them?

Carry on.

Funny...

You whine when Deano is on the warpath and
mock him when he is trying to do something sincere...

Surprised you didn't mention "Manchester" again...

Excellent!

I for one and sincerely sorry for any hurtful thing I may have said, even though it was always in jest.

In the spirit of things, I would ask that people stop making insensitve comments about Steve Augeri. I can't sing either and it is hurtful to me to hear him bashed. I know I am vocally challenged and it would be nice if we could all refrain from saying mean spirited things about someone who shares the same affliction as I do. It would be most appreciated. Thank you from the bottom of my heart fellow Journey fans.

Nah, I love the guy. He's fun to have around whether he's at peace or at war. Just because I argue with him sometimes, or tease, doesn't mean I don't like him. I think for the most part everyone here is pretty cool, and has good taste in music too, I might add!

Not so much this year.. yet :)

But come on, Deano, you gotta give props
to Crosby and Mailkin.
There ain't a team in the league, aside from maybe
Buffalo or Atlanta, that has a stable of young studs like
Pittsburgh does right now...
Crosby, Mailkin, Fleury, Staahl, Whitney...
Sad thing is, they will all become SuperStars
in another city once Mr. Burberry moves the team
up North :(

I like Pittsburghs young guns...a lot. However, Ovechkin is tougher than Crocby, more resilient, and add in Semin and olie the goalie.. I like Washington a lot....

In my view, San Jose is this years Champion.

But how many more "productive" years do you
think Olie has left in him? It's sad that they can't build
a stronger team around him because he is an elite goaltender.
Sadly, my boy Jagr embarrassed himself and that team the
way he acted in Washington; almost had to give up on him :)

So you're going with San Jose?
Could really get interesting if the 'Forseberg to San Jose'
rumors are true...
At least you're not jumping on the Buffalo Bandwagon.
Although they are playing pretty tough hockey.
And don't forget teams like Anehiem, Atlanta, Calgary is settling in...
Should be some interesting pla-offs this year.

BTW, what do you think of the rumor goin round
that your 'Nucks are shopping Morrison, possibly for
Seabrook (21 yo Defensive stud from Chic)?

Yes, they (Vancouver) are shopping Morrison, because they are top heavy with centres....

Buffalo is solid, but I HATE eastern Conference hockey.

Jagr is the strongest athlete I have ever seen. Dude is rocked up.

Anaheim has the best defence in the NHL, solid management, 2 phenominal goaltenders, (they could trade one for Forsberg or Naslund) and Neidermeyer and Pronger. Wow, and oh yeah, Selanne, that Finnish Flash guy...he is decent.

Teams like ANA are built for the playoffs so I give them a solid shot. ATL? No way.

CGY? yes
DAL? Def yes
SJ? Yes
Nashville? Maybe
Vancouver? longshot, but on uptick

Washington? Next year
Pittsburgh? A couple cups on the way. Couldn't happen to a better city.
Philly? Done!
NJ? Done!
NYR? Never again!
NYI? Are you high?
Montreal?Longshot in East. Darkhorse.
