I wish Rush were being inducted into the RNR Hall of Fame but I think Journey's press release will happen first.

Going with the press release because Jeff said would be a week or 2 (at least with the little spanish I do know, that's what I caught, lol).

Hubby would love for Rush to be inducted. :)

Since I don't want to go bck to Iraq in July, I voted for the
"TOOPS" coming home :)

Who needs a fuckin' press release at this point, aside
from a few disgruntled Augeri fans???

No offense Drew, I'm sure your story will be GREAT
but I had to vote for the TOOPS :D

Rush MUST BE INDUCTED. A travesty if not.

They are the most long-term successful progressive rock band and, even outside of the prog rock genre, one of the most influential bands, behind only those like The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, The Who, Led Zeppelin, and just a handful of others. Considering that and their commercial success, hardcore fan base, and ability to draw out fans to their shows after over 30 years, you'd think they would be a shoo-in.

its been a month and a half since andrew flew to cali.and snagged them interviews,, so this entire press release was in the works WAY before his trip,, so 6 months is long enough for contract negotiations and coverups,,, this friday is as good as any.. yet i have no faith in the current mgt and behind the scenes folks in the J. camp... time is sure ticking away.. 8) its 8:05.. its time to rock!!!

Yep, enough is enough. I hope the people involved are getting as tired of the BS as we are.

I'm hoping it's the "toops" withdrawing from Iraq. Who's actually still needing a press release, anyway? :?

Honestly, I think this whole "press release" by Journey is the most overblown thing I've ever seen. I mean come on...It's beyond anti-climactic, at this point! Everyone knows what their statement is going to say. They will say some kind words about Augeri and thank the guy for his 8 years of service to the band and wish him well with his "chronic throat infection" and all of his future endeavors! Anyone who actually thinks Journey is even going to hint at the whole Tapegate fiasco is kidding themselves! The statement they ultimately release will be VERY carefully crafted and proofread by their legal team, to ensure there is nothing libelous or defamatory to Augeri!

At this point in time, the press release they ultimately issue is the worst-kept secret I've ever seen, which makes the delay that much more ridiculous. I get the fact that attorneys are working on the details behind the scenes to get Augeri what he seems to think he's entitled to. It's just gotten to the point now that when the "official statement" is released, many people will read it and think to themselves "No Shit...Now, tell me something that I actually didn't already know"! Hell, at this point, there are many on Journey's "official website" who have finally resigned themselves to the fact that Augeri isn't coming back to Journey. Sure...there are still the Rich's of the world, on that site, who believe otherwise, but many have changed their stance and have accepted what is inevitable, at this point.

Hey...I'm with you there! I also want to read the interviews, but at this point, waiting for Journey's "offical announcement" has turned into a comedy show. It's unfortunate that what is essentially no news, at all, to anyone is holding up Andrew's interviews!

The 'Official Annoucement" is nothing more than a formality at this point, but I feel confident that Andrew's subsequent interview will go into quite a bit more detail about the band's future plans and their personal feelings about the future.
