Actually I guess if it was 1980, Natural Thing & Little Girl wouldn't be on there so I kinda cheated!

Departure is one of my favorite Journey albums

I'm not going to revisit each song I rated but I gave "Departure" a 6.3 rating, with only "Trial By Fire" receiving a lower rating amongst the Perry/Augeri-era albums. The great songs are really good on this one but the bad ones are plain bad, i.e. "Homemade Love". Blech!

I pretty much agree with you. This is probably my #1 favorite Journey album ever.

Good Morning Girl: 10 - Acoustic sound of guitar, and flawless vocals
Stay Awhile: 10 - What can you say about this song? "One minute MOOOOOOORE, I'm falling..."
Homemade Love: 2 - only reason it rates this high is because it's Journey
Natural Thing: 5 - So So song - doesn't go anywhere with me
Little Girl: 8 - Haunting mood on this song, I like the tempo and Perry's sound (of course)

Overall, I give the album an 8 - It is my favorite Journey album, followed by Escape, which gets an 8 as well.
