In the concert footage Steve wears the black spandex pants and that stupid red shirt tied at the waist, Ross is wearing a silver tail coat. I'd never seen any of the other guys wearing one. I wonder if that's where Steve got the idea.

I thought Perry said he got the idea from an old Fred Astaire/Ginger Rogers movie he was watching one nite & thought it would look cool w/jeans?

It's an Evolution era show. They sing LTS, Lovin' You is Easy, Too Late, Just the Same Way, etc. A lot of what became videos were taken from it. It's the one where Steve wears that shirt that some people on the old PT used to call the Pirate Shirt and those pants that looked like he was painted with black enamel.

Can't not like the pants , but I hate that shirt.

I liked the white pirate shirt.......and if those pants were painted on, the paint had a sizable lump in it!

I've had that tape for so long that I really don't remember where I got it. If I had to guess I would say either from Kathy @ Perryville or Bill Austin.

No sis I don't. It's on a tape with a lot of assorted Journey stuff. There are interviews, videos, TV program clips and such. If I could copy it I certainly would but all I have left in working order to play VHS is a DVD/VCR combo.

I think I have some other pics from it besides the ones BJG posted. I'll look tomorrow and post those if that would help.

You know, that could very well be the case. Did you notice how the waist of the coat curves in? I don't think men's coats do that. I've never seen another pic of him with a purse or with those kind of shoes either. I'm thinking someone doctored this.
