Excellent, thanks. Mr. Perry comes across as a funny man.... and a dirty little f***** ;).

I really like this one-

62) In all the times you've worked with other artists who were your favorite to work with? Who inspired you the most?
SP: Neal Schon

Certainly was magical and often missed. I appreciate his honesty.

coffee, who'da thunk it.

I love the fact that he AGAIN stated that he doesn't do the message board stuff. Should squall a few rumors, I hope.

Wow, reading it as we speak....
So I'll keep it sweet & simple...
Thank you so much for the announcement!
I don;t expect an answer just glad to have a chance to send him a smile!

Wow, Joseph Campbell
How profound!
He was a truly amazing man
have listened to him on PBC
He had this theory about something
rang such a bell in me
now I reach to remember what it was....

Wow,
As a teenager I loved the SS Chevelle
My brother had a 67 GTO
I had a 70 Trans AM
I wouldn;t get a GTO
my brother loved it but
they are built like tuna cans with an engine
Strict striaght line performance
cool

Thank you. Lora & Cyndy & of course special thanks to Steve!

Number 48, read it and weep, perry naysayers!

48) There have been rumors going around saying that you have been in the studio doing some recording. Is this true? Or do you plan to do some recording in the very near future? We miss you so much and can’t wait to hear something new from you.

SP: I received many of this same question…..more than any others. I certainly lately have been wanting to record again. Working with all these other groups and especially the GUFF recording has fueled the fire. What I want to say is..... I'm the biggest critic I could ever have to deal with, and that's why I don't pay attention to critics. SO- that being said- I think I'll sneak into a studio down here and see what comes out. At that time, I'll know what I have or not. Thanks for all the years of love and support for me to sing, for in the end......I sing for you!

yes of course, BUT, recording and releasing it are 2 different things. Right now, I'd rather hear the Nuno B. recordings.

So, what are you saying?

Na na na na na, na na na na na?

Grow up. Everybody around here was thinking Perry was possibly up to something. I'm not surprised by that bit of info at all.

"...and see what comes out. At that time, I'll know what I have or not..."

Seems even Steve Perry does not have the answer to the condition of his voice. I for one would love to hear him sing again, but I'm not holding my breath.

Noticed that right away! I guess he's not actually in the studio now, but certainly sounds like he wants to get there to see what he has...cool!

Problem is that he's said that EXACT SAME THING before. He'll have to do better then "see what comes out" for me to believe he's going to record. Later in the interview he says he has to "get to a recording studio first". So, obvously, IMO, all of the rumors of Perry recording were a bit over-zealous and premature. In fact, the Uncle Joe thing that was propped up here...where he said on some mailing list that he heard Perry's voice in a studio...was ABOUT A SONG FOR ANOTHER BAND - not a solo album. So, there is nothing here that about Perry recording solo that was not said LAST YEAR.

So, who was it that said that if Perry didn't release something next year that they were going to give up? Is that suddenly going to change, kinda like so many things Dean says?

I've thought of that. Count me stupid for believing anyway.

I got the impression (uh oh) that with this particular response, Perry seems to (uh oh) actually be planning on getting into the studio to see what he's got. He mentioned it a few times. Whether that means a new CD is anyone's guess and if it does, one thing we can be sure of is that it would take a LONG time to get released. :)

What I thought was interesting was that it seemed that he hasn't completely closed the door where Schon is concerned. He may have (it's so hard to tell from just reading words on a page), but at the same time, he seems like he'd be willing to move toward Schon again, but who knows?

What's your take, Monker?

You know as a side note, I enjoy reading these Q & A spots from Perry, however they're frustrating in some ways because it's so tough to know exactly what he's saying by judging from his words only. Like reading some people here...it's hard to know when they're kidding and when they're serious. Since there is no real give and take with Perry, you can't "get to know him" over time, so you have these snippets of "conversation" that are essentially one-sided and that makes it difficult.

You try not to read into anything, but it's tough not to do so because a lot of time, the answers don't seem all that complete. That's to be expected because he's certainly not going to write pages and pages for each answer (though that would be nice), which would give him more opportunity to clarify.

The questions that interested me most of course were the ones dealing with any potential involvement with Journey, Schon or the studio for his own work. In each case, a door seems to be open, but I'll fight the temptation to dwell on it too much.

I think they were great questions & answers
He shared a littlebit about himself as well as music.
Personally I enjoyed looking into the mind of the man apart form the singer.
I have no adgenda or expectations of him
though he is blessed witha true gift
Still I believe the man is so much more important than the song

Or knows and will say no more about it. Though Cyndy said he can still sing, Perry is his biggest critic as he said. As for the '"think I'll sneak in the studio"...he's been saying he's thinking about it for how many years now?

Agreed, but...I think this time it sounded a little more committed, don'tcha think? Previously it was "I'm thinking about it" and now it's like "I think I'm gonna do it". That said, I'm a little disappointed that he's 'gonna' do it and hasn't been 'doing' it. It'll all come down to confidence.

Some of the Q&A's were great, others were cheesy. I was very touched by his refereneces to Neal, though. I, too, felt like it was almost reaching out to him, either to say "I'm sorry" or "I forgive you". So I am hopeful that something could eventually be worked out for them to work together again. He DEFINITELY didn't say the divorce was final or any other negative things like that, so one can still hope...

Not giving up on JSS though... 8)
