You're welcome! 8)

You should check out Savatage, too, then. They are both basically the same bands. Paul O'Neill (the guy in my avatar) is the mastermind behind TSO...Writes all the music, lyrics, etc. He's a genius and he has also produced most of the Savatage albums. If you really like TSO, I'd highly recommend checking out Savatage's "Dead Winter Dead" (my favorite of theirs) and "The Wake of Magellan". Both albums sound quite a bit like TSO but, of course, with a more heavy metal emphasis. Anyway "Dead Winter Dead" is actually the album where TSO's biggest hit, "Christmas Eve (Sarajevo)" first appeared, so it started out as a Savatage tune. It's the same exact song as the TSO one, note for note.

Even my screen name is taken from their song "Conversation Piece", which is on their "Edge of Thorns" album.

It's a song about a guy who cuts off pieces of himself in dedication to the woman he loves...He either can't have her, for some reason, or is afraid to tell her.

Wow! If He had the courage to cut pieces of himself, he should of had the courage just to speak up and tell her. Would have saved him alot of pain in many respects! :)

It's not even really one of my favorite Savatage tunes but I thought it would make a good screen name. Anyway, here's the lyrics...

I haven't thought about you for awhile
It seemed so far away
I keep your picture hidden in a file
Of favorite one act plays
Like pieces of myself
Cut off in desperation
As offerings to thee
I keep them on a shelf
They're good for conversation
Over a cup of tea, yeah, cup of tea

I put it all down in a letter once
A letter I don't send
It made me feel much better at the time
I thought it'd help me mend

The pieces of myself
Cut off in desperation
As offerings to thee, yeah
I keep them on a shelf
They're good for conversation
Over a cup of tea, yeah, cup of tea

Ok, so he wasn't meaning he "literally" cut pieces of himself....just metaphorically! Makes sense now. Thanks for the lyrics.

Actually, if I remember correctly, it's based on a true story of someone who actually did that. I remember reading it somewhere but can't find it right now. I'll post it later if I happen to run across it.

The Trans Siberian Orchestra is amazing.

If you ever have the chance to see them, go. You will not be disappointed.

My wife and I were going to go to Ohio to see them about three years ago. It was probably the middle or end of November and the weather was very foggy and rainy. We ended up not going. I was bummed and, now that I think about it, still am.

:(

I've seen them twice in San Jose and it's an amazing show -- really gets you in the Christmas spirit!
