He's selling the reissues. What would you expect him to say? Gwen Stephanie?

Yes, the reissues are up for sale, but I don't feel his answer ( Neal) to that particular question was related to the sell of the reissues. I get the feeling that Perry was being genuine in his reply & that HE really does have a "great respect" for Neal's huge talent as musician. They of course had great difficulties in their relationships, BUT still, they were VERY good together musically! The music that THEY ALL created together is still playing on the radio TODAY & LOVED BY SOOOOO MANY!!

And WOW, who ever wins this contest sure will be getting a VERY special Christmas present from Steve Perry, HIMSELF! :D :D :D

You know, I think it's possible Steve is contimplating a comeback.

Have you notice with this new posting on Fan Asylum, and the previous Q&A's, they focus on collecting email addresses...even to the point where they contsruct an incentive (autographed CD's) for valid email addresses.

As a marketer, it's seems obvious he's attempting to build a fan base where he can easily communicate with if need be.

Just an observation.

I would love to be a winner. My only Steve Perry autograph is a rushed (i.e., I begged) from the Walk of Fame day. No matter how much time passes, Steve Perry will always be a special one to me ;).

I have a Frontiers album autographed by the whole band. :)

I don't think that's the case, because I've never been emailed yet regarding any re-issues, etc.....and I've posted questions the last few Q&A's, providing them my email address. To me, it seems like he's clearly building a database...what it's planing to be used for is anyone's guess.

or they are trying to figure out how many people are logging on and reading...get a head count, not just email addresses. The message boards say it all, We Want STEVE...WE WAnt STEVE.....no..not with Journey....just whatever he can give us. :D

Actually, this was put together so Steve could give away some CDs which will hopefully make some people happy. Simple concept but there you have it.

Christ! You know with the way some of you guys act every time Fan Asylum does or says anything, I'm surprised they're still doing things like this, because lord knows they have enough justification not to at this point.

But if they never posted jack shit, whether on Perry's behalf or otherwise, you all would complain about THAT too.

The guy wants to autograph 20 CDs. What is so wrong with that?

It's 6 CDs total. One Journey and one Perry solo per winner.

I agree with you otherwise though.

Ooops. Thank you. I misread it.
The words "ten questions" were right above the words "three winners". I inverted them.
I also read that at like 11 pm and my eyes were shot.

I stand corrected. However, the rest of it I stand behind.

I voted (and not for the answer to my question #10)

If he would have answered my OTHER questionL :What are you wearing?? i would have definately voted for that.

Anyway it is a nice thing for Mr. P to do ..... and I am extremely grateful that both Lora and Cyndy are there to help him with it.

Thanks to all!!!

Cat

I've got a personalized ROR cd cover that I'm thrilled with, but sure as hell wouldn't mind winning one. Cool of Steve to do this. You're right bluejeangirl76.....to some people, he's damned if he does and damned if he doesn't.......screw em. It's just like the singing.....some peeps rag on him for not singing or putting out a new cd, but yet they would probably be the first to rag on him if each note wasn't pitch perfect too. And I'm betting #62 ends up in the top 10 answers somewhere.

Lora, a lot of us are most grateful for the Q&As, the interviews, the surprise visit, and this is another wonderful thing that Steve is doing on his own. I thought his answers were great on the Q&A, they always are, and we get some more insight into what makes him tick - this guy that seems to have captured our hearts in such a dramatic way. (and, phooey on any who think this is BT gooshy...don't care, so there!)
I just hope the winners are some real Perry fans...ya know how like when you wish poor, nice people would win the Lotto instead of the jerks? (let it be me...let it be me...) Couldn't we just submit an essay?

You'll get NO complaints from ME!

I've enjoyed the Q&A, & the UJB interview very much, and I'm THRILLED for the chance to win 2 CD's signed by HIM. :D :D

One of the reasons I've always appreciated Perry is for the way he stays in contact with his fans, and for ALL the really nice things he does do for us. I know that HE doesn't have to do it,so I'm very grateful for ALL he gives to us. I hope for our sakes he never stops!

I voted for question #54...The one in which Steve talked about his mother seeing him sing at the Rose Bowl...I lost my mom a few years ago and that answer just struck a chord with me. My mom hasn't been here to see alot of the things that I've accomplished in my adult life and I'm happy for Steve that his mom was able to see his phenomenal success.

Thanks again to Steve, Lora and Cyndy.

Oh, and I hope I win! I hope I win! I hope I win! :D

 It would prove beyond a doubt that there's no justice in the world.

I voted for #71. The insight into his spiritual/intellectual side that I felt I got from it was interesting.
