It really was a great video. Guy does sound like Augeri. I liked the violin solo towards the end reminds me of Kansas.

Shit, sound like Augeri? Dude, I have a honking goose trolling street. THAT sounds like Augeri. Kevin does sound like B Adams only higher. Augeri? Fuck no. Please don't insult Kev that way.

Actually to me, the guy sounds more like Chalfant, but it's not. Here's some interesting reading on the band, the personnel changes they went through and the fact that they apparently toured with Journey as well as other AOR groups:

What a minute, is it Chalfant or not? The history doesn't mention him, but the keywords list him... :?

It is Kevin Chalfant. The track is taken off the album Circles.

Kevin can sing circles around Augeri.....always could. Journey really fucked up picking Augeri over Chalfant. Rumor says it was because Augeri had better looks. Must be true because he certainly isn't a better singer.

The question remains...could he have lasted as long as Augeri did, singing in that range? Also, isn't Chafalt 'ancient'?

Who cares how long he could have lasted. Journey couldn't have been concerned about that. They hired a dude working at The Gap. He would have given them a shot at still being relevant in the biz....something Augeri never did. I'm not sure about Kevin's age, but he still sounds great. He sat right in front of me at a Journey concert in Chicago a few years ago. Very nice man.

Chalfant is good to great, but even his range is not what it used to be. :)

Yes.. he does sound like Augeri... but really its the opp way round..Augeri sounds like Chalfant... who both sound like Perry... , check out Chalfants solo cd from a few years back.. where he really does sound like Bryan Adams... his voice is a lot more smokey on that one.

welcome back again Deano.. shit did I miss your grovelling apology. or didnt you bother this time?
