OK , so hopefuly we'll have our annoucement sometime this week....
I figured we all should 'practice' here what our reply is gonna be like once its made.
Here's what I think I will say :

" Great News and great interview Andrew. This is the best decision the band has made in years. Im glad that they realized how much energy JSS brings to the band. The reviews the band has received from the 2006 tour with Def Leppard must have made the management realize that Journey is not part of the past anymore, but present and future. With the combination of Schon/Cain/Soto this band will be unbreakable. They will be back up on the charts, tv and radio stations all over the world. Best of all they will have no use for that old tape-player no more . Speakin of which, I would like to thank Steve Augeri for his hard work the past 8 years and wish him good luck with whatever the future has in it for him.
Jeff, we go way back! We knew this day would come. Just know one thing, YOU made it happen. You deserve it. The band should feel very lucky to you have you onboard. Cant wait for the new album and tour.

God bless,

Behshad"

It gets harder and harder to keep supporting a band that disregards its strongest base of support. The whole "official announcement" business, to me, seems like self-perceived importance. Do they really believe that the majority of the music press and community pays that much attention to Journey? Sigh. Steve Perry, Steve Augeri, Jeff Scott Soto..... most people don't really care.

But we do. That's why we wait day after day for what we already know.

The announcement

I say July 4th - after all, that would be Independence Day.

Unless April Fool's would be better?
